Just visited again today and cannot say enough good things about the customer service. The energy and willingness to help from the staff is unmatched. The quality of the bread continues to be stellar - we love this local spot! If you haven't visited before, I've included a picture of the entrance - it is down the stairs and the sign is kind of easy to miss if you aren't looking for it.

Walked in at 3:53 on Saturday and the employee immediately had an attitude, clicked her tongue and said “Can I help you? We closed at 4.” Apparently, paying customers aren’t allowed in the door despite it being unlocked and the store being under open hours for an additional 7 minutes. This experience was our first here and we won’t be back because of this employee.

My FAVORITE local bakery in & around Elk River. The daily bread options are always delicious. They have a punch card for FREE bread for frequent shoppers. Love their coffee, Latte drink. The best bread around, no preservatives, always baked daily, sliced or unsliced. Hamburger/Hotdog buns are fluffy, thick and delicious, our family favorite. And the sourdough is a staple in our home, worth every calorie & carb. Love this bakery!

Absolutely the best bread available. The sourdough has fantastic flavor, great crust, and is firm, not hollowed out with air holes like others in the area. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly and very accommodating. Ample off-street parking and a very quaint old world atmosphere. The facility reminds me of bakeries I visited in 1960's Germany. A gem that must be experienced, you won't be disappointed.Parking: Behind the store, off street about 120 spaces shared by other stores on the block, rear door entry from the parking lot.
