I was very displeased when I approached my Dairy Queen in Ely, MN. As I approached on the day of 12/11/23 @8:45 pm, I pulled up in my black Ford Focus. Unfortunately, to my surprise they were closed EARLY!!! So I couldn't get blizzards for the four people in my vehicle, very disappointing. On their website they stated they close @9:00 pm drive-through.

The workers were disorganized and some seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. Served blizzards and did not tip upside down. Should have gotten free ones but didn't want to deal with

Long wait for fast food and cost almost as much as a sit down restaurant...

Short change on sizes over several visits taking advantage of out towners. When asked server rather rude response. Hey we come to Ely from afar you would think they would welcome the business. Will avoid in future.

This place was a great pick-me-up post a boundary waters getaway. Great ice cream, and atmosphere!

We ate lunch here several times and it's right up to DQ standards and a nice clean place. Good location right on the main drag in Ely.

This place has the potential to be a great dairy Queen, unfortunately, it's staff doesn't agree. They regularly provide food that is cold or lukewarm and do not adhere to the standards of the chain. Should you have the audacity to call them on this, they will rudely get aggressive and in your face. Your money is better spent driving an hour away to the dairy Queen in Virginia then spending so much as a penny at this location. I hate to say this, because the previous owner loved this location and did his best to have a standard of quality. Sadly, it appears that after his passing, they are no longer following this mindset.

I ordered a chicken strip basket with gravy and it had the consistency of water. Food was good, but stuff wasn’t stocked for to go people like ketchup containers with lids. Put my to go ice cream in a cup with no lid which is also odd.
