“My family and I visited for a special event - one of Gustaf's high teas. It was a lovely day. We arrived promptly at 3:30 and were led to our table with finger sandwiches and scones waiting for us. We were served three different types of teas : Jasmine Mint, Prickly Pear, and Mulberry Blackberry. All of the teas were wonderful in their own way, but I enjoyed the Prickly Peak the most. There were three varieties of scone and three different types of sandwiches. Unfortunately, my own pickiness prevented me from enjoying the sandwiches, but everyone else at the table loved them. There was egg salad, a ham and cream cheese with pickle relish roll up, and I believe a ham sandwich with tomato, sprouts, and avocado. (Gustaf's corrected my understanding - this was actually a turkey sandwich). We were also served a tomato bisque, which was very tasty, although I generally prefer mine more blended. We finishdd up with a spectacular cheesecake. The service was excellent, and we were rarely without full tea cups. I would definitely be interested to try their full menu, but I strongly recommend their high tea. Reservations in advance are required.“

“Spacious eating area, might get a little loud when full but it was fine for us. We were there for a Friday Fish Fry and the refills were slower than I would expect for the level of busy. Fish was flakey and good but was a pre-battered filet versus hand-dipped. All-in-all, a good time was had by all!“

“We love this place! It's a perfect hybrid of casual or classy dining, and everything that we've tried on the menu has always been delicious. Comfy seating, fast service, and healthy + delicious food make this an easy choice for regular visits. MUST-TRY FAVORITES: grilled brussels and bacon, ahi tuna, smoke stack burger, fish tacos, pan-fried walleye, and sweet potato fries. I regularly get the brussels as an appetizer and the ahi tuna [appetizer] as my meal.MENU UPDATE: They recently added birria tacos, which have roasted shredded beef and light-spicy, au jus-like sauce for dipping. (As of Feb 24, 2024, the website menu hasn't been updated yet.)The parking lot is very large. If parking spots only remain on the far left (west) edge row, don't worry, that means there's still a few tables open in main dining and lots open in the overflow space. If the left edge row is full, then the inside is pretty busy. Management does a fabulous job with balancing staffing because even if it's very busy, we've always been promptly seated and served. Accessibility is friendly for disabled or injured folks with flat surfaces all on the main level. If you come on a Friday or Saturday, I recommend a reservation, but it's not required. There are technically 4 seating areas -- bar (with TVs), main dining (fireplace and golf course views), overflow dining (cooler temps), and the seasonal outdoor patio. The bar and main dining area both have booths and tables with cushioned chairs. (The "cushioned" chair aspect is important for me since I have back issues.) The bar atmosphere is open and naturally louder. You can request a *tall* booth in the main dining area if you want more privacy.Service has always been very friendly and prompt. (Special shout out to the server Talon, who just last night ran my forgotten purse all the way out to me in the parking lot. Thank you!)The menu has diverse options from dry-rub chicken wings and burgers to pastas and chicken/steak/fish entrees. There are multiple options for gluten-free, keto, or vegetarian diners. They also have a wide selection of wine and drinks. There is a kids menu, but I don't think of this as a typical place to bring young kids. If your kids are hard to wrangle or like moving around while dining out, a table in the overflow dining space could work out.If you're unsure about Stella's, just go! You won't be disappointed.“

“Went here with family members for a birthday dinner, i was kinda skeptical to order the prime rib because the last time i ordered it here, it wasn't very good, but they obviously changed something because it was fabulous! Service was great, food was fabulous, highly recommend.Returned today 4/27/24 and the food was decent at best, my wife said her cod was kinda dry. The prime rib was tender and juicy but not as seasoned and flavorful as it was in the past. The bloody Marys need some work, really just kinda blah.... Maybe use some zingzang and more Tabasco and Worcestershire in them? All in all, not a bad place to eat, food just needs some work. Idk if maybe it's a new cook or what??“

“We're always greeted with a smile and served with the same. In good weather, sitting outside listening to the creek and looking at the waterfall is so relaxing. We're in our happy place.“

“Just like the previous owner's: Same big burgers etc, and they will pull in bands that you would only expect to find at a much larger venue in the Twin Cities. Last act I saw, the singer had just recently been featured on national network.“

“So I am not one to like takeout, it just never tastes the same vs being sitting in a restaurant… Lemme tell you! This was fantastic!! It was warm, cooked just right, and tasted excellent. You could definitely save some $ and split a burger with someone, they’re huge!! I had never been here before, I’m glad I stopped by.“

“I really enjoyed their wings and the server was friendly and on top of it our first visit, second visit sat at bat and was busier, bartender told us she was “out of it”. Not a big fan of the business as it usually is but the food is great.“

“Had breakfast on Saturday. They open at 9am, and when we got there at 9:20 the place was packed. Friendly folks. The cook looked all of 18 we braced ourselves for ‘just ok’ food. We could not have been more wrong. His hash browns were crispier and more delicious than most twenty year cooks. The skillet breakfast was ample and amazing. Ate til full and still leftovers for the next day.Just one of those incredible hole-in-the-wall places. Totally worth the drive.“

“Had lunch after our trip on the train. We were with a large group of friends. We were able to call ahead and told them we had a large group and they were able to accommodate us when we got there. The food was fabulous. Had the classic hamburger and it was very good! My husband had the Ruben and he said it was small but very good. Will most definitely come back again.“

“Had a wonderful evening out for my birthday with the kids. My burger was delicious and our server was so kind- she comped the pizza for my son and swapped it out with a grilled cheese when he said the pizza was too spicy. Lovely view of the lake and had the most delicious slice of turtle cheesecake for my birthday!“

“? **Hidden Gem Alert: The Grillium!** ?I stumbled upon The Grillium during a weekend getaway, and it exceeded my expectations. Here's why I think you should give it a try:1. **Eclectic Menu**: The Grillium's menu is a delightful mix of comfort food and unexpected twists. From the **lobster mac and cheese** (a must-try!) to the **poutine**, each dish has its own flair.2. **Charming Ambiance**: The outdoor patio, though close to the main road, offers a cozy setting. The hustle and bustle add character, and the string lights create a magical vibe.3. **Service Notes**: While the service was friendly, it could be more attentive during peak hours. But hey, good food is worth a little wait, right?4. **Local Flavor**: The Grillium feels like a community spot. You'll see families, friends, and even solo diners enjoying their meals. It's a slice of Forest Lake life.**Pro Tip**: Pair your meal with a craft beer or one of their creative cocktails!---Remember, everyone's experience varies, but I hope you enjoy your visit to The Grillium! ??Parking: Parking lots usually pretty full I've only been there at night but I've never had a problem finding a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessibility and Van handicap spots.“

“Love the atmosphere, except there was this chandelier with insanely bright fluorescent lights off to the left once you enter. From many of the tables it is very distracting to see and doesn’t match the rest of the soft warm lighting the rest of the chandeliers have. Would be an easy fix. (I did attempt a different table to see if it would be better)As far as food, I got the whiskey glaze cluckers which were a bit too Smokey and slightly overcooked for my liking, but I would gladly try a less-daring more basic sauce like BBQ next time. The cheese curds were fantastic! Love some Wisconsin representation with the Ellsworth curds.“
