I've heard excellent things about the Cheers-like atmosphere, but my review is because the pickled herring from here was incredible. It made all other herring I ever tried seem like rubbery vinegar.
One of those places where everyone knows your name, unless you're from out of town. Every year after our Thanksgiving dinner we take all the grand kids over here for a candy run. This year we had 24 people flood the place to get candy and pickled herring.
