Most of us had the special of the day which was a Hot Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, it was all homemade too! Yum, Yum, yum!!! The cheeseburger was really good too. Very cool, fun, kind of antique/relic hometown bar. I would definitely go back again for sure!

Great bar, outstanding staff, and excellent food/service. My grandparents used to own it, and I would spend many a day/night hanging out and being a kid in a hometown bar. Grandma would make her famous sloppy Joe's in a giant Sunbeam roasster in the morning and sell every one by the end of the evening. It's changed a lot since than and I'd say for the better. Different era of course. No tap beer, which is a bummer, but the costs explain why. Love this place and highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Restaurant area is family orientedParking: Plenty

I had driven through Millville many times over a few years and noticed Whiskey Dicks each time. After all, there is really only one downtown intersection in Millville, so you can't really miss it. I thought the place looked interesting and wondered what it was like inside. I thought, ....could be a dive, ....could be a redneck bar... or it could be a great place to eat. My daughter was visiting from Arizona and wanted to try a north country fish fry. This was the opportunity, so on April 14, 2023, we drove out from Rochester about 6:30 PM. I had no idea if it would be very busy or not. Fish Frys are very popular in Minnesota and Wisconsin. When we arrived, the entire street fronting the place was all Side-By-Sides, about a dozen of them. (Side by sides are 4WD- UTVs that drive like a car). We thought, oh boy, it's gonna be crazy in there! We were pleasantly surprised in two ways. 1. most everyone was in the bar side, the restaurant side was nearly empty. 2. the place was clean, nice ambiance and friendly service. The 3 of us were seated immediately. We ordered drinks, we were not in the mood for beers. I made the mistake of ordering an Old Fashioned. I asked the server what liquor they used (generally it is brandy, whiskey or rye). She had no idea! That should have been a clue, because apparently the bartender didn't know how to make one either. It was in a 2 oz. glass (should have been at least 8 oz) filled with ice, maybe had a shot of whiskey and a little grenadine to make it red. What crap and a ripoff, but I drank it. Then I ordered a gin & tonic (anyone can make those right?). My daughter and I had the fish fry, my wife had a taco salad. All was very good, except the fish could have been cooked in a little hotter oil, it wasn't very crispy. Aside from the fake Old Fashioned, we enjoyed ourselves and probably will be back again sometime.
