My first date with my now husband was at Alma. The prix fixe menu is always gorgeous and rotates by season. The service is terrific and it's a lovely atmosphere.

It used to be a top notch lunch place in Twin Cities. The quality of the food and service went down. We ordered food and waited for 30 minutes just to discover that they lost our order. The food came eventually but was too saulty and not tasty as it used to be. The manager did not offer any compensation for lost time and spoiled weekend lunch.. And it is too crowded. We will not come back.

A truly extraordinary meal! The prix fixe menu was incredible from the breads to the starters to the pork and halibut. And divine desserts. WOW!!! And our server was SENSATIONAL!

This place is truly the only food spot in Minneapolis I crave regularly. I only took 1 star away because 100% of the time I've sat in, they forget my bakery item and then are sold out and can't offer me anything. However, the sesame croissant is to die for so I always take my chances or at least order at the register.

We had the most wonderful experience for my sister's 30th birthday dinner. It was a curated menu where the plates just came out in courses. You let the server know what dietary needs you had at the beginning... We started out with some great cocktails and then a wonderful recommended wine. We loved every single part of this meal and experience. Do not miss this!

Don't miss out on breakfast as an opportunity to check out this very chic space at a more approachable entry price! Wonderful baked goods, coffee, and egg dishes. There are a few sidewalk tables if you'd like to sit outside, perhaps with your dog.The lunch sandwiches are nice but premade if not on a biscuit.

Priced well, excellent execution. Fantastic service.Vegan tasting menu was amazing except for a few places that felt a bit more an afterthought and less decadent than it's traditional counterpart. Bread was overcharred on one of the dishes. For the typical diner, this hits all the notes of perfection.

The tasting menu was good overall, having some hits and one or two misses, but ultimately we didn't think it quite justified the high price tag. We also found the wine pairings a bit odd, and I'm all up for trying new things but I didn't quite get the connection between Slovenian/Austrian wines and the spring seasonal menu. Nice experience but it's likely a one and done for us.

We loved our dinner date at Alma. Each of the courses was wonderful and each bite was to die for. The ambience was super date like and intimate. The wine offered was yummy and we can't wait to go back! Parking is also pretty easy to find on the street!

The food and waitress were great. The atmosphere is also lovely and ambient. Our first impression coming in here was not. The hostess was very passive aggressive about us coming in a little late and very rude in her comments to us. Coming to spoon and stable I had high expectations of the service, but after this experience I am not sure I will be back.

I found Alma on Instagram - through the page that meets people and asks them for their favorite restaurant so they can go eat there. I live nearby, like to review coffee shops, and have never been so I decided to go. The person on Instagram recommended their cappuccino - can confirm, they make a mean cappuccino. The food was also incredible. The only negative really isn't a negative - the busyness of the cafe made it hard to enjoy the experience. Though I'm happy business is good for them. The cafe places a heavy emphasis on food but their coffee takeout counter never was empty. Patrons came in and out like a revolving door. It seems this place is well established among the local community, and for good reason.

We did a short stay-cation at Alma and it was downright lovely! We were able to try all three of their spaces; cafe, hotel, and restaurant. I told the hotel staff we were having an anniversary celebration (I was actually planning on proposing to my now fiancé) and they made the stay extra special! Shout out to the innkeeper who was super accommodating, the restaurant and cafe staff who kept us well fed with the most delicious food throughout the weekend. I couldn’t be happier and we both had a lovely time!
