This is, in non-pandemic times, my favorite lunch spot. They have one of the best buffets in town - lots of options even for someone with my level of food allergies and everything I've had here is delicious. There are always options for vegans, vegetarians, and most of the food is gluten-free - including the pakora, which are amazing. Eat the pakora, you won't be sorry. Service is fast and efficient, and if you don't eat gluten you'll need to be on top of letting them know you don't want naan - though if you do eat gluten, I hear the naan is fantastic. There's a decent salad bar - it's basic cause you're not here for the salad and there are plenty of veggies in the food - but you want some lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, that kind of thing? You're covered. There's dressing, chutneys, and the one item that shows they're serious about this: pickle. I don't know if it's made in-house, but I would guess so as it always seems really fresh. There are also desserts, including a really solid kheer that I can never get enough of. The other stuff may have gluten - unfortunately things aren't marked, but common sense will guide you through for the most part and I haven't had trouble. In total: best Indian buffet in downtown, no competition.

If you ask for "spicy," make sure you actually mean it, because THEY do. I love spicy food and I was struggling .

I was hungry and tiered from traveling a long distance and upon my arrival to Minneapolis I walked into Bombay Palace for lunch. I was very impressed with the relaxing atmosphere and the choice of various dishes on the buffet. I filled my plate with all kinds of vegetarian dishes. When I sat down, a basket of just made warm naan was sitting at my table and it went perfectly with my meal. Such exotic flavors of all kinds of curry dishes. I went back for seconds and filled another plate of this wondrous food. A standout was the mango pudding, and rice pudding (kheer). Was extremely impressed with BOMBAY PALACE and highly recommend it. In my opinion it's one of the best Indian restaurants in the Midwest of the U.S.A.

Nothing to write home about. Mediocre at best! Very basic buffet with very few choices and the taste is not very good. For a $15 lunch you'd better go to chipotle! Will not go back, sorry!

We have been here a few times, and I am a fan. Oddly, it is never crowded. The food is delicious. Last night I enjoyed the paneer royale, which was excellent. My only semi-complaint was that I ordered it mild, and it was almost too spicy for me (like a two out of five on a spicy scale). That didn't stop me from cleaning my plate! I really like this restaurant and will definitely return.

Got delivery. Flavor was good, but food was spicy despite ordering spice level 0. Lamb was tough and chewy. Arrived on time.

In case you are food deprived and looking for Indian food at Minneapolis downtown, please try Bombay Palace. Service has been extremely good and staff has been very courteous. No need to mention food has been really tasty and authentic! In last 2 weeks I have tried all vegetarian options and each and everyone is nice. If you need recommendations, try Paneer Royale and Dal with Butter Roti.
