Nice casual spot right next to the lake. The food was great and the staff was friendly. There was also live music at the park behind the place.Vegetarian options: Nothing is labeled as vegetarian, but I'd recommend the vegetable sandwich, it was great.

Wonderful area on Lake Harriet to sit, rest, and get a bit to eat. Food is mediocre but it serves it's purpose and the staff are great.

This is always a stop for us (many times) when we visit during summer. Million dollar views of the lake and check out the lake Harriet bandshell concert schedule for some entertainment. The food is good (altho could be better/new options) and haven't seen composting disposal options this summer (as there were in previous years). Our favs are burgers, pickle on a stick, must order popcorn, fries are good. Ice cream is usually v good altho occasionally has had ice. Also a great kids playground in park. Staff are also amazing and food is usually quick. Occasionally a line to order. Love it

A gem! Went here for the first time a few days ago and my experience was great. I ordered a basket of fries and tea and sat along the Riverwalk and enjoyed the view. It’s such a cool spot to hang out and relax in nature. I would definitely return!

Was a little surprised with the quality of the food, but the breakfast quesadilla knocked my socks off, with an orange juice that tasted freshly squeezed. Can’t beat the atmosphere of a calm summer morning by the lake and sailboats either. Lots of shaded seats available as well.

Great location and vibe. The veggie sandwich was dryer than the Sahara desert. Would have been better with a dipping sauce or some spread.

This place is very convenient if you are visiting the park or this part of the lake. The cheeseburger and cheese curds were delicious. Friendly staff.

we came from afar only to find horrible service, horrible food, and horrible attitude. I ordered a salmon sandwich for breakfast and it was completely dry, the name (bred & pickles) was misleading, they served me no pickles, when I complained I was met with smirks and sarcasm.

Love this place! It was a very busy Sunday and Alex was such a sweetheart in her suggestions of foods and services! I asked a lot questions about what to get and in the end, the black bean burger and cheese curds along with the lemonades, the best way to go! She was easy to talk to and I never felt rushed when ordering. Alex is like a boomarang, you keep coming back for more haha great staff overall! Also the food was ON POINT. Burger cooked to perfection and with the works - flavortown over here! The cheese curds were cooked just right - not too salty either and all washed down with the refreshing lemonade! They did not disappoint! I recommend this place and the lovely staff!

It looked like a long line when we stopped on our group bicycle ride, but the service was efficient and we had our food quickly. Eating outdoors by the lake-what could be better in Minnesota during the summer? My Shrimp Salad Sandwich Roll was excellent-nicely seasoned with dill!

The location is wonderful and the employees are great. But the method of increasing efficiency and cutting costs seems to be just to not cook the food. My grilled cheese was so undercooked that the cheese wasn’t melted and the bread not toasted, and the fries look like they are still fresh potatoes. I’m not super impressed given the location and busy-ness.

Was there yesterday with my granddaughter and we had the cheese curds and the walleye. For $14 I too expected a lot more than a small sliver of walleye. Very disappointed! This is how much bread was left after the walleye!

LOVED! Everything we had was tasty! Seating had umbrella shade, staff was super sweet and service was speedy! What else can you ask for?! Walking around the lake with ice cream in hand, waving to the baby ducklings, what a treat!

I would have given this place a 3 but man those cheese curds are so durn good! Fast service and the workers were friendly.....would definitely come back here again. Think the only thing I would change would be to add more dressing with the salad I ordered. I'm more a sauce man so the dish felt a tad dry towards the end. Anyhoo fun little place!
