Had a wonderful dinner date here on a Wednesday night. It was still a very busy night for the resturant, meaning there were some tables that were spaced inches apart in the main area and making it loud enough that conversation was occasionally difficult to hear. The food though, was wonderful. We started with a couple of cocktails, the Mamakuna and La Clandestina, both of them were tasty, being fruity and light, in their respective ways. The first food we got was the masa & guacamole along with the corn elote, which go together in a fun mix-n-match way. For mains, we got chicken tinga tostadas and the seared scallops. The chicken tinga was a lot of savory deliciousness without being to heavy and the seared scallops were full of vibrant flavors, and surprisingly spicy with the salsa macha. And of course, we got the churros for dessert. They were fun and tasty, with the dulce de leche and sweetend cream, I definetly favored the cream, but I'm less of a sugar person.I would love to go again, but I think I will wait until the patio is open to get some more elbow room and bring down the noise level.Parking: The parking lot is very small, fewer than a dozen spots. There is plenty of street parking, but it's a busy area.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no curb on entry. The entranceway is pretty tight, it's got a straight hall to the left inside the front door, straight to the front desk. To get into the seating area is a right turn from facing the desk.In the seating area, there is very little room between tables, to the point where some of the tables are literally inches apart. There is a wide through path to the back of the building, where kitchen and restrooms are located. The restrooms are roomy but have low toilets.

My recent visit to Colita in Minneapolis was nothing short of extraordinary, largely thanks to the impeccable service provided by Sydney Pansing. From the moment my party and I stepped through the door, Sydney's warm demeanor and attentiveness set the tone for what would be an unforgettable dining experience.Colita's ambiance is inviting, with a contemporary yet cozy atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The menu, featuring modern Mexican cuisine with innovative twists, intrigued us, and Sydney was there every step of the way to guide us through the selections, offering insightful recommendations and answering all our questions with enthusiasm and expertise.Throughout the evening, Sydney's attention to detail was truly remarkable. She ensured that our drinks were always topped up, our food arrived promptly, and each dish was presented beautifully. Her genuine passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction, making us feel valued and cared for as guests. As for the food itself, it was exceptional. Every dish was a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted and beautifully plated. Highlights included the Tlayuda, with its perfectly crisp base and layers of savory toppings, and the Oaxacan Mole, a rich and complex masterpiece that left us craving more.Sydney's professionalism and dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience were evident throughout our meal, and her personalized touch elevated our visit to Colita to something truly special. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, and Sydney Pansing's exceptional service only adds to its allure. If you find yourself in Minneapolis, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Colita – and be sure to ask for Sydney! Also, the bartender Zach Pham makes awesome custom drinks that taste like a pink lemonade gin with FLOWER PETALS! He also included super cool shaped ice cubes (spheres).10/10 would recommend to everyone.Parking: parking was available.

This is my second year celebrating my birthday at Colita, and I couldn’t be happier. Our server, Theo, was wonderful and brought us free samples of the very tasty house-made Curado de Peranja. I wouldn’t have ordered it on my own but I’m so glad I got to try it, I ended up buying a round for my friends because we enjoyed it so much. So light and fruity. We then started with the masa & guacamole, which was so tasty. All of our dishes were wonderful and rich. Don’t forget to save room for dessert- the churros are to die for! I wish they still had the brownie and the tres leches though. They had them last year and they were both very good. However, the churros were the best so I’m glad they kept them. The Octopus al Pastor was pretty good, but the tacos and tostadas are where colita really shines. Can’t wait for next year!Dietary restrictions: Entirely gluten free!

We visited for the first time on New Year's Eve 2019. We LOVED it. Within the last couple years, I found out I have a severe intolerance to gluten so a lot of restaurants have been off reach for me. We just returned on Saturday for an impromptu dinner, and wow. New favorite restaurant. Sure, it's not cheap, but you're getting what're you're paying for. I really appreciate having a restaurant where I don't have to worry about what I'm eating.Don't get me started on the Cacio e Pepe tostadas, or the churros! So good.Servers are super nice and down to earth, and service was quick!I cannot wait to return. My wallet may not be happy but my tummy will be, and that matters more to me.Dietary restrictions: Everything is Gluten Free

I had a lovely dinner here. The star of the show was the churros dessert. I haven’t had any that come close! We also tried the Caesar salad (different but tasty!), aguachile, elote, and octopus al pastor. The octopus was a bit chewy and could have been saucier. Overall, it was delicious and I’d come back!

One of the best restaurants in the city, we have been there numerous times over the last few years. Cute atmosphere, but tables are a little close together. Service has always been good for us. The food is stunning, particularly the masa and dip appetizer, tuna tostadas, aguachile, eggplant tostadas, chicken tinga. The shrimp tacos are pretty good, as well as the fried green tomato salad and the scallops. The octopus was good, the larger end was a little chewy. The churros are unreal. The elote and cacio e pepe tostadas were fine. The menu changes slightly over time, and two items that we love are no longer on it- the mushroom quesadilla and the banana tres leches, WE NEED THE TRES LECHES BACK. It was amazing.
