Food is great !! -at a great price! We came from out of town for dinner on a Friday evening and this place was practically empty, but I don't like crowds so that was great for me. Our waitress did not speak any English, but it wasn't a problem. I recommend the nachos and the empanadas!

One of, if not my favorite place to go out in Minneapolis. I go here often and I’ve never had a bad time. The security and bar staff are great; it seems like they care about the safety of clients and they foster a safe environment. The clientele are fun and people like to actually dance here and not just sit around. A great place to be!

My second home, and my favorite hangout SPOT. I’m Dominican and have no family in MN. The owners, and the entire staff make me feel like I have a family at Conga. The food is as good as my mami’s (LoL, I’m in my fifties). Now when it comes time to let my hair down, NO other club does dancing quite like Conga! WELL I’m SORRY to say that for the last 2 months Conga has changed completely! Not sure how or why!!!Ruth, wife of Geovanny was always such a warm and caring human.Conga has been my refuge for the last 30 years!!!I’m 56 soon to be 57One of my good Puerto Rica.n friends sent me an invitation to come celebrate a birthday for a friend.I was enjoying a staycation at Mystic Lake Casino and didn’t feel like sting an hour to Conga in the rain and slippery roads.Abby is SUCH wonderful, giving friend that I said I would join in the celebration.I must say, I was having GREAT FUN!!!Ruth, yes sweet Ruth told me was not very happy with me!!!!!!!!!!!I was SHOCKED!?’kl$&@“‘bShe said that I was disrespectful to her host!I was indignant!I explained to Ruth that her host had a used me of lying about placing an order through DoorDash for pick up.I’m not sure why she verbally, emotionally, aggressively attacked me. I showed her my phone screen where it clearly showed my order for pick up. This same host pointed her finger in my face and told me to hand over my driver’s license. I was very confused!!!I gave her my license. She KEEPT MY Driver”s license!!!!?$&@I waited for my food in disbelief.I then headed out and one of the very professional and kind bouncers handed me license back. I went home feeling some kind of way!!!I have been battling Clinincal Deporession for the last 13 yrs.Conga was always my safety net!!!

This place used to be so good but it has gone downhill a lot. They charge top prices at the door and for drinks but the quality is bad. The "top shelf" margaritas are syrupy and have barely any liquor. The shots are tiny thimbles. The empanadas tasted freezer burned and like old grease. The bathrooms are disgusting. And to top it off they have a creepy security guard who wears a full face mask and stalks around breathing down everyones neck.

The place is great but their security cussed me out for waiting 5 minutes for a ride home inside at a empty table near the door, this area had other people doing the same thing and they had no problems, i tried to mention that my uncle got shot to death in minneapolis for wrong place wrong time, and that i didnt feel safe waiting outside at 11:50pm while holding items worth over 900 usd, they said they couldnt give a damn and started making fighting gestures, i advertise for the minneapolis gay parties group and im gonna be sure to bring this incident up with the group host and we will see what happens, i will not be returning

They usually provide drink tickets with the entrance fee. However one needs to be very clear to staff that you would like to use them. Otherwise they might bill you for more drinks.

On my birthday, we had the unfortunate encounter with a host who displayed an astonishing level of rudeness. When my sister simply asked about the dessert of the day, she not only hung up on her once but twice. Such behavior is completely uncalled for and reflects poorly on the establishment's commitment to customer service.Seeking resolution, I decided to call and speak to the manager. However, I was met with even more disappointment. The manager's response was unapologetic and showed absolutely no concern for the despicable customer service we had experienced. It is disheartening when management fails to take responsibility for the actions of their staff and does not prioritize customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, the manager claimed that they don't have a dessert of the day, despite it being clearly listed on their menu and having been ordered by us on a previous occasion. This contradiction raises serious doubts about the establishment's honesty and integrity. As a customer who had high expectations for a memorable birthday celebration, I am deeply disappointed by the experience we had at Conga Latin Bistro. The host's rude behavior, coupled with the manager's unapologetic response, has left a lasting negative impression. It is truly disheartening when a special occasion is marred by such unprofessionalism and a lack of regard for customer satisfaction. In conclusion, our experience at Conga Latin Bistro on my birthday was nothing short of a letdown. The host's rude behavior, the manager's despicable customer service, and the contradictory information regarding the dessert of the day have left us with a negative perception of the establishment.
