Food, drinks, atmosphere of a haunted house, what more could you want? The menu had a good spread of food and apps, we got the cheese plate and although the cheese was good, the crackers were honestly so good we asked for another serving. They make any cocktails you want, but their Lumbersexual was a good citrusy take on the Cosmo, and definitely worth a try.A decent amount of seating for the space, and the atmosphere is super dark and moody and really gives a spooky, haunted, vampire's basement vibe.Definitely worth a visit!Oh and bathrooms were clean. ?

Impossible to find handicapped parking and no valet. This is not an HC accessible restaurant. A long flight of stairs to get to the seating area. Small dishes with average food. Unimpressed.Seating is open and awkward for more than 3 people. I do not recommend it for celebrations. Service takes way longer than it should. Gelato was 3 bites per scoop. Marginal food.

My friend and I went early on Saturday evening. The staff were all so welcoming. We each tried 2 different drinks. All were great but the standout of the day was the old fashion. We also shared the charcuterie board which we found delightful even though the giardiniera was too spicy-hot for my friend.

We were excited to try Constantine because we love their partner restaurant the Parlour bar. We were looking forward to their burgers and old fashioned. Unfortunately both were a miss. The old fashioned was off. Too much orange peel, the whiskey tasted off. We appreciated that they did have a handful of beers and wine along with their cocktails as beverage options. The burger was extremely salty, the meat was chunky, and the flavor was subpar. Stick to Parlour bar if you want a good burger. We also tried their tater tots and pop tart. The tarter tots were fine. The pop tart was disgusting. It was their cinnamon sugar one. It was cold and filled with at least two tablespoons of cold gritty sugar. Not sure if they just didn't hear it up properly or what. The restaurant itself is pretty neat- with a speakeasy type feel. It is in the basement of the hotel. Nice lounge seating. Plenty of seating but doesn't feel too big. Cool decor and photos. The servers were friendly and nice.

It had been a minute since I visited last, and usually a burger would be the reason. This time after discussing options with our amazing Bartender I went with this Seared Tuna Sandwhich. I did not regret it & I enjoyed it with their awesome Constantine old fashioned. I also grabbed the tots w/ cheese which were almost addictive they were so tasty. I want that cheese dip in my life 24/7. For dessert we had a poptart. I didn't think it was worth it, but my friends liked it. Plenty of bar and table seating. This whole spot it a vibe! Parking is easy in the ramp across the street, but you do have to pay.

This was an unexpected find on a Monday night in Minneapolis! Loved the lowlight ambience and all the candles everywhere!Menu was sufficient enough for light bites. I thoroughly enjoyed the Double Dirty burger, one of the best in the city. My friend loved her housemade Pop Tart (reminiscent of a toaster strudel, but with a rotation of flavors). As a nondrinker, I also like a place that puts a strong focus on quality nonalcoholic drinks. Try the Even Bitter -- exquisite!WILL BE BACK!!

Hey Loves while I'm MN I was able to go to a pretty cool nightclub called Constantine @constantinempls located in downtownMinneapolis. If your looking for a Goth, Game of Thrones, Vamp vibe...this is your place. They are located on the basement floor of the Hotel Ivy in Minneapolis. They have a live DJ playing and amazing knowledgeable mixologist serving up some delicious crafted drinks. But wait loves the Constantine offers a $5 dollar burger The Constantine Burger and Oh My Oh My...it's juicy, well seasoned, and dripping with Rich Melted Cheese…..Damn it's that good yall. Not only is this place offering happy hour. But they have events too. Such as drink making. Go check this place out loves. You won't want to miss it.

We enjoyed the "dark" cocktail bar in the basement of Hotel Ivy. Our server was great. We enjoyed our drinks. Loved the atmosphere.

I am truly blown away- I can't believe I've never tried Constantine's happy hour before! The deals they had were amazing. I went for a drink after a long day at a conference, and I was able to snag a hibiscus punch and a side of tater barrels for $9. The punch was fairly delicious, but the true show stopper were the tater barrels. They were cooked perfectly and were perfectly salty, and the side of cheese topped it off! The vibe in here was also amazing. It was dark and candlelight. Perfect for a date or just a fun place to grab a drink!I also wanted to mention the service was amazing. I went here with 13 other coworkers, and our server was patient and attentive to us all- no easy feat!

Ok, talk about ambiance, this place had it down cold. It was like half probation speakeasy and half gothic nightclub. Really well executed specialty drinks and a really nice spirits collection, especially bourbon. Service was overall very good, the prices were certainly not cheap, but that's expected in a place like this. Right in downtown Minneapolis above a really nice Italian restaurant, this one is totally worth a trip.

I have dream about their burgers here, seriously. Their Constantine Burger has me in a choke hold. It almost tastes like a reallllly fancy, delicious, In-N-Out burger, but a million time better. It's a smash patty type situation, so not too much burger which is huge to me. I'm over those half pound burgers and quarter-pounders they advertise, sometimes I just want a light burger that's well balanced with toppings and other flavors than straight beef and this is perfect for that.On top of that, their mocktails are AMAZING. The servers are always helpful, asking important questions like what kind of flavors I like and preferences for fruity or tart or more refreshing, it's nice to not be offered just soda and grenadine and sent on my way. They're very attentive. As for alcoholic drinks, I have tried a few and they are also delicious. I love the glassware their served in and it's always a fun experience to try new cocktails there because they're all delicious. I haven't always been a big whiskey/dark liquor girl, which seems to be what they specialize in, but I think that all changed when I tried a drink from here. They are truly more than bartenders and more like artists.Parkings not great, but that goes for most places downtown and I usually opt to walk here. The ambiance is unbeatable and it's worth it to pay for parking or valet here rather than get free parking elsewhere.

Came to Minneapolis today, there is no happy hour so not really sure how to rank this, but every where you look says Happy Hour here so trying to help out future customers. Very very limited cocktail list. The owner has now replied - Up a star for credible management! I was just told "no" when I asked, I was not corrected with proper times. I may check it out again later in the week.Thank you for the reply!

Constantine is arguably my favorite downtown Minneapolis bar. This Jester Concepts establishment is located in the lower level of the luxurious Hotel Ivy giving it somewhat of a speakeasy feel. Inside you will find a dark, intimate, gothic theme/feel with high end finishes. The cocktails are second to none and all made with beautiful attention to detail. The menu is loaded with everything from spirit forward to more approachable, easy drinkers. Constantine also offers up one of the best happy hours in downtown Minneapolis with their $5 for 1, $9 for 2, $13 for 3 menu. Check out their website for more details.
