I been here twice in a week and each time they are closing. There no times on the door and then everyone inside is standing watch you outside at the door what poor customer service.

Chicken was good, cold slaw was good. Fries NO. Fries need to be better. Cold fries don't work. And they were dry.

This has to be the best chicken I ever taste. The Mild sauce just make it Better. The fish was extremely fresh totally worth the wait.

First time trying the new store and it was awful! I don’t know why my wings or fries had no mild sauce on them I never asked for it not too be, the fries were hard cold and the wings are really little mad I wasted my money might give them another shot later down the road after they get themselves together I get they new but I’m spending lots of money to get what I ordered and paid for!!!

Thank you for being open -- probably at a loss, or close to it. Awesome food at any price!

Best chicken in the city hands down

I have lived in Chicago and Harold's was a "hood" staple. Pros:Chicken and fries with mild sauce is delicious and identical to the Harold's in Chicago. Cons: The wait time!! It can be 30-50 minutes at times. The neighborhood: The area is sketchy especially at night. Not the best place to be waiting a long time for food. They do not answer the phone, so you can't call in for pickup. Overall, if you don't mind the area and the wait, the food is good. My husband loves Harold's so he endures the wait. I personally don't like to wait a long time for something that is in a fast food setting. For me, I would have to pass on returning there.

Heard about Harold's from a Chicago native and thought I would give them a try. I ordered catfish as the menu they have posted on their website is different from what they have in the store. There was a line out the door when I got there and I soon learned this isn't necessarily due to their popularity but due to how incredibly SLOW they are! It didn't make sense to me the amount of time it took to get my order because there seemed to be about 7-8 people behind the counter working in a space that really looked like half that number should be there. I waited almost 30-35 minutes for my order and finally had to ask what was taking so long--miraculously my order suddenly appeared after that. They let my taste the chicken wings which were pretty small but had good flavor. The catfish was pretty good as well. A couple of days later I ordered some chicken wings and was told it would take 45-60 minutes to prepare them. I left and went to Smoke in the Pit instead. Overall, food is fairly good but stay away unless you have LOTS of time to wait. I don't know if the food is worth the wait though. I saw several people walk out rather than wait. The phone was also ringing nonstop and no one apparently was answering it as I heard a customer say she had called to place an order and no one ever answered. Hopefully they can get the operations together because no business will survive if people don't come back or walk off.

I went to Harold's Chicken last night with my husband I ordered a small gizzard and a 4 piece chicken dinner and it was Horrible! ! The chicken was scorched from apparently not cleaning the grease periodically during the day so it had this burnt taste to it..I can't even describe the gizzard let's just say I got a hand full of chicken crumbs I know chicken gizzard don't suppose to llok love that I'm not going to speak about how HARD they were!!!! I tried calling so I could give them a chance to make it right but the phone was going to voicemail oh well that's my second visit and I haven't even taste the fries by the way they suppose to come with every dinner..that will be my last visit sorry Harold very POOR quality of chicken for a shack!!!!
