They left out my order of pork fried rice and my brother's szechuan beef was apparently not very good either. Didn't see the the reviews saying that this place sucks after the cooks retired but I sure believe them now.

Food was absolutely horrible. Orange chicken where the chicken itself was a rock. Couldn’t even eat it. Fried rice was absolutely nasty. Oyster wings super bland. No flavor. Chicken in garlic sauce. Was more like a soup than sauce. Not sure what happen to this place but food has took a turn for the worse.

Very disappointed. Stopped to order food placed order the person who took my order asked how I would be paying. I went to give my credit card and she tells me no internet can't take my card. It appeared the person prior to me paid with their card. New ownership customer service is not good. She could have told me before I placed the order she wasn't accepting credit cards but yet it felt more like she was profiling her customers.

My husband has been going to this restraint for 13 years and I have been going for the last 6 years. I've never once had a bad experience and have always gotten wonderful tasting food. With every time I go there, the service is better and my food never changes in quality. I live across town(s) and I make a drive out there frequently to satisfy my craving! This is one of those many holes in the walls where you could never go wrong with anything you order off the menu. If you looking for a great price and good quality food you'll get it from here. I'd add a picture to the review but again I couldn't wait to eat such great food from my favorite spot!

I only get Chinese food from Mei Inn especially when I'm in the cities. For 20 yrs I've ordered the same dishes, chicken fried rice, egg foo yung, and maybe some appetizer egg rolls, fried shrimp. Today I an honestly say the food wasn't good at all. The rice was gummy and not the usual color brown I'm use to. Egg foo yung wasn't cooked like usual. Also I found out the nice lady I've ordered with for 20yrs has retired, also the older gentleman that was the cook isn't there either. Such a disappointment. Especially bringing clients in that have eaten there before and them also saying the food wasn't good. Hopefully things change, but I probably won't return.

I got takeout here, and the egg roll was full of mushy cabbage, and the fried rice was damn near cold. Fkn disgusting and deserves zero stars. How does this place stay open?

When I tell you that this is the BEST on the Southside OMG! I am a shrimp person so when I say that their shrimp fried rice and the Cantonese Shrimp Lo Mein are top tier! ??absolutely delicious!!!! Omg I normally Uber eat and they gave me complimentary cream cheese wonton. This place is amazing... I read some of the reviews and must say that I honestly feel people are lying. I've ordered from them multiple times and only once was I not 100% satisfied. The shrimp Cantonese lo mein tasted burnt, but I don't let one bad experience ruin it for me. Their food is delicious

I used to love this place. I had it for the first time in a very long time and I didn’t think to read the reviews before ordering but I wish I had. Do not recommend. Food was not great at all. Go down the street to Bills Garden!

Service and food is always amazing. I live like 4 minutes away so this place is a regular lunch destination. The prices are great.

This used to be my favorite Chinese takeout but it has gone way downhill. We ordered fried rice, lo mein, sesame chicken and potstickers and all of it tasted the same and was VERY bland - we had to add salt and it didn’t help. Prices also increased so all of that ended up being close to $80.We’ll be going to Bill’s Garden from here on out. Only a few blocks away.

I ordered a vegetarian dish and was served something with meat. I realized it pretty quickly but not fast enough. I have an intolerance to meat and ended up vomiting repeatedly. What I did eat was flavorless and not worth the time it took to drive to this disgusting place. Never ever again!

Very disappointed by my visit. Poor food quality..tasted leftover. Unfriendly staff, abrupt, and the experience felt transactional at best. They need to really step things up, or they will be out of business.

This place used to be really good, but the couple retired and now it’s owned by other people. The food is not good anymore. It used to be amazing. No flavor at all. The fried rice was very basic. I asked for beef and broccoli with just broccoli and carrots. Ended up with 3 pieces of beef loaded with onions. It was bad. The egg rolls were Costco quality. I’m also not a fan of tipping the owners. Very sad that this place has gone down hill. Bill’s garden Chinese gourmet is a lot better and it’s only about a mile from this place. Save your money and find a different spot for Chinese.
