Amazing Food, Amazing Service and Atmosphere. Midweek date night. :) Bangers and Mash, Beef Pot Pie. .it was also Triva Night... great time...except they listed a drink special, but it was for the Eagan Location....well pull the flyer then... or honor it... besides that it was a great meal!

Easy and fast getting a table on a weeknight. Food was really savory and service was friendly. Had dinner with friends and we were able to stay for an extended period without being rushed out. Parking was pretty easy on Lake Street (off on a side street too). Several NA beer options. The pasty was delicious!

Fish and chips are great. Typical bar/restaurant atmosphere. Service was on the slow side but not bad. Prices aren’t great

We had a great evening here. The food and drinks were good and the atmosphere was great. Had a real pub feel. Not just a bar that calls it's self a pub like so many. Will definitely try to make it back when in town.

I used to love Merlins and would come every couple weeks, but just ordered takeout from them for the first time in about a year.I was extremely disappointed to taste that the “pub sauce” that I used to love now tastes overwhelmingly like horseradish sauce ?I also found a piece of plastic in my food that was about the same length as my fingernail.I wish I hadn’t had this experience and I will severely miss my old favorite.

Delicious fish & chips. Reservations recommended because it can be very busy. Friendly service. But restaurant charges a 5% service fee to make their menu costs appear artificially low & these deceptive practices reduce the rating.

We live in the neighborhood and love to support the local businesses. Our family had a pretty disappointing experience today. Our fries were cold. My mom’s salad had moldy, black greens in it. The cheese that came with the pretzel was cold and had a grainy texture. Our server forgot about us and never communicated that someone else was “taking over”. We had to track someone down to ask for our bill. No apologies. No acknowledgement. We have had good experiences in the past so this was unfortunate. It was very frustrating and unacceptable; especially for $100. Do better.

No televisions, Irish sessions playing on Monday and Friday nights. Extensive whiskey list.

Server was prompt and polite. Fish and chips were crispy. Had their esb and scotch cream ale, and they were good too. Look forward to coming back.

One of the best places to dine! We meet friends here occasionally and it's always a great experience. The service is always friendly and the food is wonderful! I highly recommend the Irish Stew and the Cheese and Onion Pasty and their brussel sprouts. They make a great Old Fashioned as well!

My daughter who has been to London several times says it's just like the chippies there and just as good of foodParking: We ended up walking about a block but it was well worth it.

One of the most authentic English-style pubs one can find in the Twin Cities. Located on Lake Street in the Longfellow neighborhood, parking is plentiful and safe on the adjacent streets. It is also on the new limited stop bus line so it is a quick and easy trip from points east and west. If you prefer Irish and Scottish whisk(e)y's, look no further. I doubt there is any pub that has a broader selection. And the food? If you can read this, one can assume you have access to the Intertube. Look it up. Everything is excellent. I have been coming here 3-4 times a year since they opened almost two decades ago. I have yet to have bad service (it can get super busy) or a bad meal. And bring the kids. This is not a dark and dirty dive bar.

Not sure if I’m here on an off night, but the bartenders seem to be doing the lowest amount of effort and they aren’t very friendly. From the moment I walked in, the vibes were off. This is NOT the “Irish” pub to go to.
