I rarely provide a negative review, but this was well deserved. Absolutely one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Bone marrow completely inedible.

Excellent food. Had the King Henry burger. A once in a while treat since downtown prices are astronomical, all because of that $15 minimum wage. I did not have dessert being the price was in the $11 range. Not worth it to me. The bartenders should be careful and cut off a person already drunk. A reason why I won’t return to the place. I prefer to enjoy my meal without a drunk friend of management being over served.

My 94-year-old grandfather, Quentin Johnson, used to work here from 1947 to 1951 as a busboy and fry cook. Fast forward 73 years later, he took me here for my 27th birthday. We both had the signature Henry VIII hamburger, which he used to broil back in the day. It was a wonderful meal. The restaurant and inn are beautiful, rich in history, and very charming. As my grandpa put it, "This is what you call 'Class.'"Tonight was particularly special because we had the honor of speaking with Mike Noble, the innkeeper and grandson of founder John Noble. If you get to read this, Mike, thank you for such a special and precious night. My grandpa told me that this was one of the most special nights he's had in years. Hearing him share stories of working at the Normandy and learning that this job put him through college (and housed him while attending Augsburg) really is a big part of his life story and is a lifelong memory I will cherish. The Normandy is a shining example of the quality and care you give to your patrons as well as to your staff. Thank you for keeping such a special place running.Respectfully,Andrew Johnson

Service was excellent. It is a beautiful place aesthetic. The Hanger steak is pretty salty on the outside. Otherwise the potatoes seemed drenched in wine. Edible but wasn't my favorite. Was told by the front desk to go with a burger but wanted to try something new.

I found their food to be excellent, Service was readily available, and the ambience was nice. I'll be at somewhat dark. The only negative I found was that the menu had only a limited number of entrées.

Had my wedding reception here 54 yrs ago today! We were back a few yrs ago at Easter time & when they heard our story they were very gracious & let us go to the room where we had our reception. At the end of our evening our hostess got us an Uber made sure we got to the car safely & paid for our ride back to our hotel! It was a great evening! Thanks for your hospitality! ??

The food was average and the atmosphere was under the table the experience was less than the expectations we wanted to see from the staff there.

A very expensive disappointment! I guess some things don't change for the better. We used to love the Normandy. From it's wonderful steaks to the endless popovers. We were excited to celebrate xmas eve downtown at an old favorite, only to get a very poor quality New York steak, (12oz., thin, overcooked, $48.00), a cup of dried out mashed potatoes, (we asked about a potato side, weren't given any options, $8.00), and two lovely popovers, that couldn't make up for the rest of the meal, ($3.00 each).

Great place to meet friends for drinks.

Had never been here for breakfast, it was fabulous. Fresh squeezed OJ, great thick bacon, oat milk latte and the service was excellent. On a Saturday morning, we didn’t wait at all. Hidden gem for breakfast, as I am a local, I’ve tried them all.

Room service. Staff was terrific. Caesar salad was very good but kind of small for the price imo. Came with two little snchovies on it so be sure to remember that if you don't like the smell of fish. The French onion soup was terrific! Cannot say enough nice things about it.
