Came here for lunch during my sisters work break, we ordered edemame, one roll and 2 sashimi. We waited over 7 minutes after being sat and ordered everything right away. The roll came out 20 minutes later and the edemame came after we finished our sushi. We had to grab a box for the edemame which we realize was bland. Service was slow even tho we were one of 4 tables. Do not recommend

Soberfish is by far one of the best happy hours on this planet. Such good sushi for an incredible price. Probably venture there once a month and will continue doing so. Thank you Soberfish!

I go here for lunch often, but don’t want to since they have children playing around in the restaurant and the coughing from the children, and staff not good!

Good stuff in a lively space. We would easily have ordered more drinks but didn't seem to have wait staff interested enough to check on us.

We went out of our way to eat here since the breakfast place we originally wanted to eat had a long wait. Our server was super attentive and friendly. Service overall was great. My wife's cup of water had an imprint of the previous diner which was disturbing. Starting with the sushi, it was evident that attention to detail was lacking. The rice, a fundamental element of any sushi dish, was disappointingly hard, almost to the point of being unpalatable. To make matters worst, this error was repeated not once, but twice during our meal, suggesting a systemic issue in the kitchen's preparation process. Moving on to the fried rice, one would expect a comforting blend of flavors and textures. Instead, what awaited us was a dish plagued by the same hard and unyielding rice encountered in the sushi. Frying the already tough rice only served to exacerbate the issue, resulting in a dish that was difficult to chew and ultimately unsatisfying. The Pad Thai, often a highlight of Thai cuisine, fell flat in terms of flavor and execution. Instead of the harmonious balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors that define this dish, we were met with an overwhelming sweetness that drowned out any semblance of complexity. Furthermore, the choice of thick and chewy noodles only added to the dish's lackluster appeal. Overall, my dining experience at Soberfish was marred by subpar ingredients, lackluster execution, and a noticeable absence of flavor. It is my hope that the establishment takes heed of these shortcomings and endeavors to rectify them, lest they risk alienating discerning diners seeking a fusion restaurant. We left the table exactly how it was presented to us, paid and left. Waitress brought boxes for us but the dishes cannot be saved.

I came for lunch today and was so pleasantly surprised with the quality of fish in the sushi. The fish was so fresh and truly melted in your mouth (especially the escolar, salmon, and salmon belly). The lunch specials are nice since you pay anywhere from $11-$15, but you really want to get nigiri/sashimi because the fish is so flavorful and tender. Still amazing prices ($6-$10 for two pieces of nigiri) regardless. The sushi chef on staff was so kind to me and even gave me a taste of his version of a Rolly Polly filled with salmon belly. Seriously my favorite sushi place in Minnesota, even in the Midwest!

Food is good at this restaurant and we come often. However service is usually slow. Tonight we came at 8:20 and they didn’t want to seat us because the last call was in 5 minutes 40 minutes before closing! They should say “Close at 8:30” Definitively not coming back. They could do better.
