A good bbq choice for meat, but the sides need work. We ordered a full rack of ribs ( they are spicy, fyi) solid ribs, good smoke and chew. Sauces were average. This was a take out order. Coleslaw was super onion forward. Other than that fries are really the only other side, they don't carry away very well. Paid extra for rolls and butter--- cmon now, the rolls made Hawaiian rolls seem gourmet. No brisket was available. We would go back to grab smoked meats, and skip the sides. $78 was a little steep for this takeout for 2.

This place is a great spot to meet up for drinks, eat some food or watch sports. They have a nice variety of drinks on the menu. The barbecue is really good. Definitely recommend checking it out.

A relatively new spot in the ever-popular North Loop, StormKing offers fun ambiance, a wide variety of on tap beers and cocktails and bbq. Service was friendly, if albeit slow, and bbq was decidedly average but overpriced. Dinging them primarily because of their lack-luster happy hour and high prices. Note - they include a service fee on all tabs so no separate tip charge.

18% service charge for counter service. Menu also has shrinkflation, no sides come with entrees or sandwiches. (Same price, but you now must pay extra for fries) BBQ is still very tasty , atmosphere is nice, just a lot more expensive than last fall.

Hot damn, does this place suck! I came here for the first time a couple months ago and had a really tasty brisket plate with sides and everything, I think the total came to $26 for it (I could definitely be wrong). Either way, I made the mistake of coming back with my girlfriend - I got a side of fries with my half pound of brisket and she got a side of coleslaw and chili with her half pound of ribs. Add on the soda that she had in the beer that I had and total came to $80 (including taxes and the tip) for two people for what was really mediocre, actually not even mediocre, bad barbecue. We waited for 10 minutes for food that should already already have been cooked? I guess it took them 10 minutes to make the coleslaw, chili, and fries? not to mention the bar was basically empty. On top of that, while we were waiting I saw one of the workers shoveling food in his face in the kitchen, lol, not really sanitary nor something you want to see while you're waiting for your food. The blonde guy at the register was nice and friendly and was as helpful as he could be, but I'm still kind of pissed that they charged me when I asked for bread with my brisket? I guess I'm just supposed to eat a half pound of brisket with a fork... no offering of onions, pickles, or any bread (which is one of the cheapest freaking things ever, why would you charge three dollars for elementary school cafeteria grade shitty bread rolls?). This place is another stupid example of cash grabs by locally owned (OMG!!) businesses in Minnesota and is a part of a trend that I hope dies really quick. At least they have everything named after Norse gods! Did you guys know that people in Minnesota are Scandinavian? This place sucks.

Moved here from Texas & decided to see how this place compares to authentic bbq from Dallas. Went during happy hour & ordered it to go. The bartender did not tell us we were not going to get happy hour prices because of this & we ended up being charged full menu prices & when we ordered drinks, they didn’t even ask what my girlfriend wanted to drink. She was ignored & was not happy with the service. Food was completely cold by the time we got home & we only live 3 blocks away from this place. Watched them heat up the brisket & pulled pork under heating lamps. Not only was the food not that good but found out that the bartender gave themselves an extra tip & by updating the amount on the credit card slip. Not worth the $100 we were charged & was disappointed with the quality of the food. They don’t even have burnt ends so it can’t be called traditional Texas BBQ.

My group of 3 stop in before seeing a show last night. We all got they royal burger, which I really liked, i loved the fact the chips they came with were tortilla chips. I really like tortilla chips. The fried cheese curds were really good too.The did forget to bring us our cheese curds, but brought them out right away when we brought it to their attention.Drink wise, I got a cider (I don't like beer personally) which was from number twelve next door. It was as I expected, I liked it. Wasn't too dry or too sweet. My friend got the midas and he said it wasn't bad, but not really his favorite. My sister in law got bi-frost bridge, which she did like a lot.Service was pretty good, the two guys behind the bar were really nice and helpful.I liked the interior set up, I tend to like open floor concepts. They have some games and stuff to play too if you wanted. Will definitely come again if I'm in the area.

Went here last night for the first time with some friends and I was not impressed by the food at all. If you're looking for good BBQ, just go to Famous Dave's! Coleslaw was bland along with the pulled pork sandwich. 18% added gratuity is crazy too for no table service. I would come by again for the drinks and atmosphere to watch a game on the TV, but probably wouldn't order food here.

The brisket sandwich was good, along with the house salad. Would not recommend the peach cobbler.
