Our go to spot for Indian food. As someone who enjoys spicy food, their very very hot option for all items on the menu is truly on par with my spice tolerance. The Naan is great! I have yet to try out the Street Food options, but it's great to see them adding/updating the menu throughout the years!Parking: Parking is free, however can be quite full. There is a ramp nearby for overflow if the main parking lot is full.
The perfect date night spot! Not only is the food amazing, but the it’s a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy dinner. We look forward to visiting again soon!Dietary restrictions: As someone who has to live a dairy free lifestyle, I always appreciate when the staff is knowledgeable in their ingredients and can help guide you on the best items to order.

I miss the days of buffets, but I still love this restaurant for takeout. Tikka masala and naan is my go-to. Paneer is great as well!Parking can be a bit annoying so plan to park in the ramp or have someone drop you off and circle the block lol.

Tamarind provided us with such a wonderful meal that it’s hard to convey how excited we are to order again in the near future. This was our first time ordering from Tamarind, so we sort of over-ordered, admittedly. We ordered both the regular and garlic naan, Dehli’s butter chicken, extra basmati rice (unnecessary in hindsight based on how much rice comes with the regular order, but man was it perfect rice), and the Ras Malai for dessert.Everything tasted outstanding: both naan’s were warm, fluffy, fresh, and delicious! The butter chicken was expertly spiced and hearty, and as I mentioned: the basmati rice was cooked to perfection. The Ras Malai was also such a fun and tasty deviation from the desserts I would normally choose (because I’m usually your typical sweet-tooth), but it was a dessert I want more of to explore the nuanced flavors!

Overall an OK Indian restaurant-they do some things well: gobi manchurian, vegetarian platter appetizer, and chai to name a few. They also have a decent selection of beer and wine. I felt like the curries however were tame in spice, borderline too salty, and one note in flavor-our table ordered a couple different options and they all tasted similar (probably due to same base sauce). Service and ambiance were decent.

Tamarind is much better than your average Indian restaurant. You can tell they have honed their recipes as the dishes are not overwhelmingly flavored or spicy but rather balanced and complex. Their chutneys are delicious and the price is right, given quality, quantity, and ambiance.

Love this place because I love Indian food and this place was clean with attentive service and absolutely delicious food. I had tika masala and I haven't stopped thinking about it and wish I lived locally so I could get it on the regular.

Authentic Indian food and the best in the Minneapolis area! Great location and prices!
So pleasantly surprised by this place! Delicious food, generous portions, affordable prices, and nice comfy booth seating. We had one of the dinner for 2 options and we both have plenty leftover for lunch tomorrow!
