We decided to spend Spring Break in the Cities instead of somewhere warm and then a terrible blizzard hit. We ventured from our hotel to The Bulldog for a snack with our two tween/teen boys because we saw they had a kids menu. Our snacks and beer choices (for mom & dad) were great. We would have left with a perfectly pleased experience and been good. But the bartender who was solo and killin it found out we were going to a T’wolves game the next night. She is a huge fan and season ticket holder and when she found out our boys were fans she gave us an absolutely amazing hoodie that she had just scored. We asked her a bunch of times if she was sure and we left in disbelief of her kindness and generosity with a usually surly teen who is floored by her act. Thank you!!! I’m so sorry we didn’t get your name but we will never forget. ? ?

The food and staff were as good as I was hoping. The atmosphere is ok, albeit feels dingy, and outdated.I got the lua hotdog with tots. They're advertised as all beef hot dog, which it looked and tasted as such. the Lua dog was amazing, and the tots were amazing too.My only recommendation/critique that would stand out would be slightly larger/thicker beef dogs. The current size feels like a beef dog you would buy yourself going down the meat aisle at your grocery store.

Meh. We went here to grab a bite before a show at the Orpheum. Not great pub food. Service was mediocre.

I've been to the other locations, but my first time here downtown mpls was before a show. And I alerted my server. She said everyone here was going to the show also. Great, easy I thought. Nope. SO, it is nice inside. But sitting in the front is freezing in the winter, whenever someone walks in. I mean, I'm a native but no....so uncomfortable. Ao that was rough. We ordered the soft pretzel appetizer. They microwaved it! You know how when you microwave a bun it gets gmhard and chewy on the ends? And it hurts your jaw almost as much as something rock hard would? Yep. So I guess I was there during happy hour. Not sure. Very vague....but inordered a maker's mark diet and my date a gin and tonic. There was barely any ice and barely any diet! My drink was basically just alcohol. Now I hate to complain about that, but while it sounds good, it wasn't what I ordered. I sucked it down anyway. The gin and tonic also very spirit heavy. They weren't very expensive either, when I saw the bill. So I guess that's good. Server was also the bartender and she wasn't very attentive for that reason. We asked for the tab and all of a sudden everyone around us left and were en route to the show but she still hadn't brought our tab! Eek! I was stressing! We had to walk up to get it and walk it back to close out! But she had taken care of all the other tables!? I did see a lady next to me had to walk up to pay too. Anyway I guess what I'm saying is , sit at the bar if you want decent service. And the mixed drinks are not good. Check it out and see. Atleast there is another spot downtown to try! I love their lowertown location best .

We came here a few times prior to shows at the orpheum and the service was painfully slow all 3 times. Food was as expected, drinks are overpriced. We’ve moved on from Bulldog.

Best bar food in MN! Cheese curds are best out there even to state fair. And their burgers are incredible. One of my most visited restaurants in MN. My friends and I love this place

Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. We waited to be served for thirty minutes before we just ended up leaving. Not even a slight acknowledgment from the staff, and over half the place was empty. It was clear that the waitress saw us when we first arrived. Not satisfied and very frustrated, they just lost 4 loyal customers.

Service was friendly but incredibly slow, even though it was not busy at all. Wings were alright, burger was barely average.

This bar is right by my apartment so I walked over with some friends and neighbors. We might try to make it our regular spot since it has good food and drinks. The happy hour specials aren't super clear so I ordered cheese curds and a mac n cheese hot dog along with some drinks. Our service was good and food came quick. We did go on a week night so it wasn't super busy. I really liked the food and wan't to try some other items on the menu as well. It has a nice atmosphere and I am glad there is a place like this near by to go to for a quick bite. You can even order online for pick up which I will need to do sometime.
