This business is a total mess. Do not pay for VIP here for a concert. They have no VIP. The security there is super rude, pushing people and causing commotion. There's no one to answer your questions and they just ignore you.

Dark club with great sound, caters to people that actually want to dance to dope DJs. Hires great talent.

I've never written a review before. I honestly thought my first review would be for a five star review but this was bad enough that I unfortunately need to write this now. My friends and I thought it would be fun to go to The Pourhouse for the St. Patrick's bar crawl. I checked in here and had a great time. However, upon checking in for the after party I was greeted with rude staff/security. Standing in the entrance waiting for my Uber the staff yells "Get the F out" as it was 9 degrees fahrenheit with a negative degree wind chill. I asked the security "why are you being so rude" and they responded with "Doesn't matter. Get out now or i will make sure you never come back." as someone who was here for 10-ish minutes this was very disheartening. I left and I will be sure never to come back. I hope that the owners will take this into consideration and choose to treat people will kindness from here on out.

My friends came here for New Year's Eve and one of our friends was drugged at the bar, as it turned out it was pcp and this happens often at Pourhouse. This business is refusing to take any kind of accountability for this, but yet it keeps occurring. Not sure what the resolution would be other than the management team taking more/better safety precautions knowing it's a recurring issue at their establishment. So I guess this is more of a warning, proceed at your own risk.

Came here for an event with friends. I could see that the mixed drinks were watered down and served in clear plastic cups, so I ordered a bottled beer. Even that wasn't safe--the bottle was served to me room temperature. The food was clearly frozen and just heated up/fried. Before the event started, they were just blasting music so loudly my friends and I couldn't even speak to each other. I was confused about the artwork/mural. Do not recommend.

REALLY COOL SPOT! the drinks/bartenders were average, but the space was so cool — had a blast at a private event

This bar is trash. Waited 30 minutes for an awful drink when there was maybe 7 people in front of me. The DJ was trash and super rude. If I could give it a zero I would. Save your time and go somewhere else.

The start of the coronavirus was when me and a group showed up. It was dead. Whatever service... Food was blah and the drinks could have been better. It got pretty ghetto at about 10pm and we bailed out.

The bouncers are very disrespectful and confrontational for no reason. The bouncer last night turned me away for a dress code violation (wearing joggers) even though many other people were let in wearing the same thing or worse. When I asked to speak with his manager he said no and threatened me.

We came for the Jonny Holm Band (who was great). The bouncer frisked my boyfriend at the door because his ID said "firearm endorsement." My boyfriend does NOT have a concealed carry license, but this bouncer thought he had the right to frisk my boyfriend because of the firearm endorsement he obtained for hunting at the age of 12. The other issue was the fact that they have a unisex bathroom, where I personally saw both men and women enter. My boyfriend, however, was grabbed at the collar by a bouncer and told the men need to use the bathroom upstairs when he attempted to use the unisex bathroom. How is this okay? Horribly liberally biased and staff essentially assaulted my boyfriend twice. Will never come here again.

It wasn't bad until a group and I went through the iconic bookshelf "secret" entrance- there was a huge room with like three other people dinking around. Thirty minutes later some sore excuse as a bouncer aka - douchey junior varsity high school football player came storming up screaming for wristbands and then screaming everyone to get out- no manners what so ever. I'm sorry. What? No signs explaining VIP only and you have a 90s cover band playing- I get acting that way with a bunch of drunken 22 year olds but I refuse to be spoken down to by someone half my age. Let's work on some customer service and properly labeling your sad excuse as a VIP station, maybe? Kthanks!

Awful. We are stranded on a long layover in Minneapolis so took the train downtown to hit somewhere to chill out and have a few beers and food. Got off the train, saw this spot and decided to wing it and give it a try (great reminder to take two minutes and look at Yelp for ideas). We walk in, it's empty. Literally no other customers. The princess behind the bar won't even look up from her laptop. We are friendly, say hello. She blurts out "So do you want menus?". Uhhh yeah, sorry to bother you and inconvenience you. We grab a seat and my buddy comments how miserable this bartender is. She walks over, throws menus on the table, and says "what do you want?". We say we need a minute, she lets out an audible sigh and heads back to her laptop behind the bar. I tell Jay were done here and not giving them our business. We leave without millennial princess addressing us. We went and had a quick beer at Sneaky Pete's (where the bartender there had heard from customers about this gem of a bartender before) then got exceptional service and food at Cuzzys. No lack of options in DT Minneapolis... don't make the mistake we did, avoid at all cost. Worst service I have seen in years... don't recall ever walking out like this. Wish Yelp had a no stars option.

Garbage venue that is disrespectful to local musicians. At the zombie pub crawl they cut very popular local metal bands off early without paying them and they were treated rudely be staff. Clearly they only cater to a certain crowd and only care to play dj music. Don't ever go here. Huge waste of time and money. I will discourage people I know from ever coming here.
