First time visiting since they renovated the place. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was light and fun.

Maybe it was just a bad day and time to be there. The food was average at best and we needed to ask for basics like silverware. Will probably go back and give it another chance as historically been

This is such a cute restaurant! It was a nice area and the shop is so cute and aesthetic. The food tasted amazing and it was served warm and quickly. The workers were super nice too and helped us out kindly! I highly recommend this little place!!

Service was extra terrible. We got treated like criminals rather than customers.Got seated farthest from the door as possible, server never came to check how we were, orcrefulls, didn't even come til check time.Only reason I gave 2 is because the burger itself was better than averageIf the service had been as good as the burger could've worked up to maybe 4 stars.

This place was awful! Not only was it completely underwhelming, but the service was so slow and inattentive. I ordered an ice tea after sitting and waiting for service for 13 minutes. I asked for sweet n low or sugar for the tea. It never came. Our cheese curds came out cold. No wait staff came to check on us, and our drinks were empty. The food was meh, and again the waitstaff was completely gone. It was some of the worst service I've experienced. We are not high maintenance people, and this is a burger joint, but the lack of service was appalling.

We want to love this place, have been going for a while and our daughter loves the fettuccine, but service has been going down hill. I can see some of the young staff trying, but need a lot of help and training. Last weekend our ordered was messed up. Tonight my husband got the wrong ice cream served to him and my daughter twice, leaving her in tears, and no spoon and the server out of sight for the next 25 minutes after that. After another long wait for the bill and a third attempt at getting the right ice cream, we sadly will be done going here. Hopefully they can turn it around to save this classic little joint. Best of luck

Stopped in and had a Tipsy Malt while waiting for a table at George & The Dragon next door! My friend and I both had excellent tasting malts that were a large portion! Good vibe while inside! For two malts it was $27 which in my eyes is a bit spendy but the malts did have alcohol in them so it does make sense. 8.5/10I would definitely come back and try the food here. Very cozy vibes! Cheers!

Server was absent, and took forever while he would just be on his phone in full view of us. He mixed up our orders, then charged full price for the wrong size and argued about having already discounted it with a percentage (which he didn’t?)The shakes were nauseatingly sweet, runny, without whipped cream and we couldn’t taste what the flavors were. That was on top of the premium pricing and (comedically) smaller sizes. Then the remodel itself seems to have removed all of the antique character of the restaurant and appears unfinished.

An expensive disappointment. My husband’s blueberry malt wasn’t blended properly, there were whole, leathery blueberries throughout his malt. Our daughter’s root beer float didn’t have enough root beer in it and the sample I had of the Butter Pecan was freezer burnt. I enjoyed my Lemon Sorbet, but can’t recommend The Malt Shop on just my dish of sorbet. If you want a cool atmosphere with a tin ceiling, beautiful woodwork and gorgeous stained glass, then head on over, but not for the ice cream.

Wonderful Saturday evening dinner at The Malt Shop! We had our daughter's birthday dinner there! Staff was attentive and kind! Food was delicious! Parking on the street was totally easy!

The managers need to prioritize training their serving staff because the service was terrible. Had to ask 3 times for water and when we tried to pay with a gift card was told “I don’t know how to use that kind. I don’t know what to tell you. Come back a different day.”

I haven't been here in years but we were in the neighborhood so stopped for lunch. The place was immaculately clean. The cheeseburgers were delicious, juicy and perfectly cooked. The fries were great as well. The best part was the malts. We had a new server so she didn't make recommendations for sizes and we should have each ordered a medium. The small is really perfect for kids under 4 yrs old so my 12 year old had to order a second one. Maybe the small should be called a kid size instead. Other than this tiny detail our experience was 5 star. We will be back again soon.
