Ahhh... An opportunity to visit a vegan Cafe in the Minneapolis area. Came here on a really cold day to see what this place offered. It's not as big as you think though I'm not sure if this whole former apartment building is owned by Vegan East but you walk up the steps and go to the door on your immediate right and you're inside the cafe. The staff was really friendly, great selection of food and drinks, I completely overlooked the vegan chili but I did settle for their turkey pesto sandwich. Great flyers of upcoming events too. They have free water and other healthy assortments to buy. The food was made really quickly. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily come back.

Vegan East is one of my favorite places to go in the cities! Staff is always friendly, and the chicken salad sandwich rocks - also, be sure to try their cinnamon rolls!

I try to go here at least once a month! The food and service is incredible and it’s great to have a good vegan restaurant in the twin cities! I’ve tried most if not all of the food items on the menu. In my opinion, their pressed sandwiches are the best; especially the turkey pesto and the sun dried tomato pesto grilled cheese! The broccoli cheddar soup is very good if you’re a thick soup person like me. The desserts are always a win!
A cute place with yummy food. The breakfast sandwich was great but the sloppy joe was a real winner. My non-vegan friend was pleasantly surprised with the sloppy joe and said she wouldn't have known it was vegan if someone just handed it to her

Food was amazing! Quiet house-like setting. Only about half a dozen tables inside. Counter service. We had breakfast items. The breakfast sandwich, and biscuits and gravy were both so delicious! My husband had the coffee and was not a fan, he said it tasted very burnt.

The beautiful look of the cupcakes, is somehow surpassed by the wonderful flavors of the cupcakes. The delicious flavorful cakes and cookies, nothing like I have ever tasted. They have brightened up the building formerly known as QC pizza and numerous other food pop in spots, to bring truly wonderful vegan num nums to the Nokomis neighborhood. LOVE IT!!

I've been to this location several times. They have always had delectable desserts. This was my first time trying something off their menu. I had the Just Egg breakfast sandwich with a side of broccoli cheddar soup and a gluten-free cosmic cupcake. The sandwich and the cupcake were delicious, but I didn’t care for the broccoli cheddar soup. It was too thick for my liking. I love supporting this 100% vegan cafe; the staff is always so friendly.Parking: There is a small parking lot on the side of the cafe that is accessible through an alleyway, and there is free but limited street parking in the front.

FANTASTIC! What a wonderful discovery to find on a recent trip to Minneapolis! Located in an old home with tons of character. Staff was super helpful with suggestions-service was quick and food was great! I had the turkey pesto cheese panini with a cup of yummy broccoli cheese soup. One of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted! My husband had the Turkey pastrami mustard panini with the soup. We shared/split the sandwiches although I preferred my choice over his. Other reviews raved about the baked goods so we are taking a cupcake and cinnamon roll home to try later. Excellent vegan food!
Extraordinary! Cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, and some of the best food I’ve had anywhere. This place is special. Highly recommended.
