Unexpectedly found this gem while trying to help a friend visit 3 new states on her quest to visiting all 50 states.The location near an empty mall gave me pause, but it was love at first, second and third bite.The omotuo and peanut soup is delicious. The pepper soup is spicy and flavorful. The Jollof rice and chicken was also tasty.The food was so good I stopped the impromptu roadtrip just to highly recommend this spot.

To say this is the best food in the Moorhead area, hell in the state of Minnesota, would be an understatement. I wish I had two stomachs so I could keep eating. It was my first time experiencing authentic African cooking and I’m absolutely shocked by how flavorful and put together it was. Don’t bother looking anywhere else, this will be your best meal in Moorhead. Oh and don’t be afraid to order multiple dishes, everything here was delicious. The perfect meal to make you feel happy all day.Kid-friendliness: It’s very family and kid friendly.

Rane and i had a wonderful experience here. We entered this light, beautiful space with fabulous hi-life music. Our host was gracious and even turned up the music when we asked. Rane ordered a vegetarian spinach dish and he was able order the heat from 1to 10. I had a dish made from yams, black eyed peas and rice in a tomato sauce with ground yucca for a garnish of ground yucca. Absolutely delicious in every way. We highly recommend this little gem. We are from New Mexico and have few African restaurants. We'll come all the way back for these flavors and hospitality.

Came because I searched for Jamaican food. This place wasn't really Jamaican but food was amazing, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food was amazing son had curry chicken/rice. I had goat. Absolutely ? for this place.

The restaurant is handsomely decorated and service was courteous. We were served delicious complimentary spring rolls, But it was downhill from there. The menu lists many unfamiliar items but does not explain what they are. The server had to explain each one, which I found annoying. I told the server when the spring rolls came that I don't eat meat or fish, and I ordered an entree labeled vegetarian which turned out to contain chunks of beef. It was courteously replaced and was moderately good, but the server said they generally do put beef in it unless the customer asks them not to. Prices on the checks were a couple of dollars higher than on the menu. I realize inflation must have forced the restaurant to raise prices, which is fine. but there was no warning of the price increase anywhere. Why not put a sign on each table saying they've raised prices above what's on the menu? Also, the menu on the restaurant's website is an unreadable screenshot. Don't they look at their own website? This restaurant serves a kind of food unfamiliar in this area, which is great, and I think it has the potential to be good. But they need to put sone logic and self-awareness into what they're doing. I consider this restaurant's flaws, especially the beef in the "vegetarian" dish, serious and do not plan to return.
The four of us had five very tasty dishes. The deviled eggs appetizer may have been a little hot for our companions, but we really liked them. Two of us shared the Pounded Yam with Egusi and the Jollof Rice with Fish (a Tilapia Fillet). Those two dishes were both excellent. This was the first time any of us had eaten there and the staff was very helpful in explaining the menu. The service was great.
