Me and the wife can eat here for $30-50 vs the same type of food elsewhere for $100+. Diamond in the rough that’s awesome food and prices!

Updated below with complete redemption:Excellent service, reasonable prices, good sushi presentation, the fish was fresh and delicious but the rice was barely passable and more like grocery store sushi. It was dried out or not cooked properly, I can’t be sure. I can only assume, based on the excellent reviews, that I got unlucky and the rice was not up to normal standards. My expectations were immediately lowered bc this place isn’t exactly posh but when I saw the sushi I was certain 5 stars were on the way but yesterday’s rice (OK that was tongue and cheek because it certainly was not yesterday’s rice, but it did taste like it), yes the rice ruined it and turned it into gas station or grocery store sushi. I will come again and I hope to update this to a full 5 start review. Look at the picture! This sushi looks good. Next time I’ll be sure to order the scallops w/o lemon. I’ve not had lemon on scallops before and wasn’t not a huge fan.I returned and the sushi was excellent. No issue at all with the sushi rice and everything was delicious. The Inari zushi I chose for ‘dessert’ was just excellent and the perfect end to the meal. I highly recommend you try it if you’ve never had it before. I’m so happy that I found this little gem at the perfect spot along a trip I often take.

One of the best restaurants in town! The food and service are incredible! I could honestly eat here everyday! I highly recommend the seafood fried rice, chicken hibachi, the yummy roll, the Owatonna roll, the spider roll, and the love roll.
Food is pretty good. Unfortunately It seems that their prices have gone up and portions have gotten significantly smaller. Seems that the Faribault location gives larger portions than the owatonna location. But they always provide great service at both locations!
