Amazing food and even better drinks! Great service as well. Small outdoor patio is nice.

This is a local restaurant we frequent. The food is always excellent. Britany is the best bartender! Scallops with risotto is awesome.

Another great dining experience at PLate. Ribs were succulent and finger licking good! Both the Caesar and pear salads helped blend acidity into the mix with balanced dressings. Wine and cocktail list is way above average and properly priced. Service continues to shine each time we visit! Highly recommend!

Best service I've had in a long time at a restaurant. I had the cod special with gnocchi in a whine garlic sauce. It was excellent. The cod piece is much larger than I anticipated. To top it off, they gave us 2 free dessert samples! Will definitely be going back.

In November 2023, we attended a private Italian wine dinner event and unfortunately had a terrible experience. I took the time to write a detailed response on the restaurant's website, but I never heard back. Having given ample time for the owners to repond, I'm sharing my feedback here in hopes of either assisting the restaurant in improving their service or informing other potential diners. (This is long, but it wasn't written for Google. If you'd rather a summary: lackluster, wedding-style food that seemed pre-prepared days earlier, frozen, and reheated before serving. Poor wine experience despite spending $125 per person.)Dear Owners,I'm writing to express our disappointment with our experience at your November 12 Italian Wine Dinner private event. Overall, we were greatly disappointed with the quality of the food and the server training. The food quality that night was bland and uninspired. It was evident that all the food had been prepared days before. The salads had wilted lettuce, and the produce lacked color and crispness. The soup lacked any distinctive taste, and the pasta sauce was basic—nothing beyond what I could easily replicate at home with some spices and a can. The tenderloin was even more disappointing; it was clear the loin had been cooked previously and reheated before serving. Furthermore, the dessert was partially frozen, indicating inadequate time for thawing. In the end, as my wife put it, "We've had better wedding food." I can understand preparing items ahead of time to accommodate the number of guests you had, but preparing everything in advance to reheat and serve was disappointing.Regarding the wine, it was excellent. In fact, there's one bottle we plan to purchase in the future. However, I had to request a fresh glass even when transitioning between white and red wines. I will not claim to be a wine aficionado who would discern subtle differences, but when spending $500 on an evening with friends, I expect a superior wine experience. At similar events in other establishments, changing wine glasses is standard, yet I had to request new glasses for our table at PLate.two years ago, my wife and I had an exceptional dining experience at Plate during a regular dinner reservation. Since then, we've eagerly awaited a special occasion to return, usually signified by announcements. When this recent opportunity arose, I promptly reserved a spot, having missed previous chances. My anticipation was so high that I invited friends to join us and savor your restaurant's atmosphere. Unfortunately, I found myself continually apologizing for the notable disparity in the experience. Moreover, the loud musician made conversation challenging among our group of four.Typically, I might overlook such issues, but with the price set at $125 per person, my expectations were far beyond what was delivered. For instance, a meal at Demi in Minneapolis, priced at $150 per person, offers remarkable cuisine. I anticipated a comparable standard in November, but regrettably, the experience fell short of what I could provide at home.If any of my observations are inaccurate, I apologize. However, if they stand true, it reflects a lack of attention to detail throughout the entire meal. My intention in sharing this feedback is to contribute to the improvement of future events and to uphold the standards your establishment is known for. I've noticed another upcoming event night, and I hope these comments assist in identifying areas for improvement before that event takes place.

We live in Prior Lake, near Plate and do go there quite often. The staff is very friendly and make an effort to remember you. Most of them have been there a long time. They have a great happy hour menu that includes both food and drinks. Happy hour timing works perfect with our schedule and appetites. The menu offers a good diverse selection on items. The regular menu is a bit spendy, but is very good. The food is always fresh and hot. The happy hour is only in the bar area, which can get quite crowded. I would highly recommend reservations for both the bar and restaurant seating. The bar area is not very big and fills up quickly. They recently opened up the bar rail for first come basis. The also have a combination of high tops and low tables that you can make reservations for. I find the decor/atmosphere to be inviting, it is simple, a bit modern and open. It can get a tad loud in the bar area at times, but not too a point where it was a bother. They offer dinner (Date Night Menu, Two for $40 Meal, etc.) and drink specials. We are not hard liquor drinkers, but they appear to have a great selection, especially whisky. They recently started to have live music on Thursdays in the restaurant. We were in there last night and the guy was very good, unfortunately it was a bit hard to hear him in the bar area, which is understandable. If you want to go for the live music, sit in the restaurant.

Halibut and drinks were great! It was a little loud but that didn't take away from everything else.

Food is great. Ribeye, scallops, pork chops were well prepared, seasoning, taste. I think the entrees and sides could have been a bit warmer. The wait staff was great. Very engaging, attentive. Well done. Everyone that came to table, water, drinks, bus table, etc..Atmosphere was busy, louder than I would like. Two seat tables were wider than I would have liked - get a booth, for sure.Drinks were well executed. Old fashioned had no muddling, though the taste didn't really "need" a cherry or orange peel. Besides, old fashions come in many varieties and styles. Pineapple martini was good, score 7 out of 10.Deserts were cheesecake flight and tiramisu. Flight was especially good, chocolate/caramel, key lime and pistachio? The tiramisu needed more cocoa on top, skip the cream and strawberries, but that's me; you might like it.Bathrooms were nice, clean, roomy. The lavatory sink really needs adjustment for hotter water. Really way too cold.Parking is very open, though you may walk a little die to high demand between the grouping of the restaurants in that corner of the city.I would definitely return.

A completely AVERAGE meal with below average service and an absolutely TERRIBLE bacon old fashioned. Costco had a deal over Christmas for gift cards. We got 3 scallops ($39), side order of fries ($11) the absolute worst prime rib sandwich in the universe ($25) (tasted like a microwave dinner that was overcooked) and 2 happy hour cocktails and 2 full price drinks and it came to $175. Not my ideal Valentines night. Worth $100, paid $175. Overpriced but not worth it. Nice, but not amazing.

Cute place, nice server, subpar food. I ordered the Tres Amigos pasta and crab cakes both of which were in serious need of flavor and seasoning. For the price tag I was surprised by the quality of the food they served.
