Taqueria El Sueno makes everything from scratch and you can taste the difference from other Mexican restaurants you may have been to- its absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Their food is bursting with the flavors of lime, cilantro, and a variety of spices for every heat level. They even make their own queso. I was delighted with my Burrito that had a thin perfectly griddled tortilla, flavorful juicy chicken, lettuce, tomato, Pico de Gallo, and queso. The owners are very friendly and you can tell they care. Even the chips were hot from the fryer. I highly recommend Taqueria El Sueno and I will be returning for another delicious meal.

Hours posted online said they were open.Hours posted on the door said they were openGot there and tried opening the door. It was locked. Looked inside and there were four people having a meeting.Three of the four people looked up and made eye contact with us. Not a single person made an effort to stand up and walk over to tell us they were closed. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Just a simple courtesy of “sorry, we’re closed”, would have sufficed. It’s a shame because we were looking forward to trying their tacos.

Best Mexican in town. Not even close. Get the birra tacos (quesobirra) - you won’t be disappointed.

Loved it! The atmosphere is delightful – real neighborhood and family vibe. We got mole de pollo, puerco en chile rojo, and torta loca – all delicious!

Absolutely love this place! Small but so worth it! Fiancé and I tried the tamale which was really good. He got the taco shell salad which the shell was soft yet crunchy ?? I got the enchiladas they were very yummy and filling! Definitely recommending to my friends and family when they come to Rochester! Highly recommend if you like authentic Mexican!

No thrills Mexican spot where cash an save you 3% charge vs using a card.Grabbed a pollo (chicken), carnitas (pork) and barbacoa (beef) taco. Then grabbed an azada (steak) tostada. There's also a serve yourself salsa bar of 5-6 options. Nothing really hot.Azada tostada was probably the best thing I had here. Super crispy and steak tasty/juicy. Mixed with the usual tomatoes, creme, lettuce and queso fresco. All three tacos were juicy messes but in the end they might be tad expensive. Pollo after consideration was a bit dry but fine with the sauce to moisten it up.Carnitas was weakest of it just going down easy with nothing noteworthy pulling me in any direction.Barbacoa first bite I thought it was dry but then after second they do theirs differently. Instead of shredding it had a great outside sear on it. Best one to get.Kid-friendliness: They have kids meal options.Parking: Small lot that shares with others in this strip mall.

Insanely good, and I'm from L.A.Order comes with basket of chips, and there is a salsa bar which are both amazing. Food came very quickly. No alcohol service. Cash discount.

Best birria ever! Tacos were crispy, nicely filled, and the consommé was rich and flavorful.

Our first visit. Pretty ordinary Mexican food. The salsa bar was a nice touch. Food came out promptly. The only meat choices were ground beef and chicken, no pork, seafood or Carne asada. The taco on my combo plate was tiny, although the chile rellano was normal size. My husband was underwhelmed by his 2 enchiladas. I wouldn't refuse to eat there again, but we'll probably try somewhere else next time.

Still the best tacos and sauce in Rochester. Don't miss out on stopping here if you get the opportunity!

This is my sister and my favorite place to get tacos and other Mexican style food. There are many kinds of tacos but we usually go with the steak "street style". I really enjoy the enchiladas and horchata. A nice extra is you get to choose an array of different types of sauces, which we usually go for the hottest ones. The service is always very timely and kind. There are nearly always the same employees, so you get to know them a bit and find out how hard of workers they are. I always enjoy my experience here!

All the salsas were delicious. Reasonably priced. The food was good too and great size portions. Clean and quiet plus quick service.

From Arizona and this is the best authentic Mexican food I have had in Rochester so far. Haven’t hit all places up and this joint is proper. We got a veggie burrito with fries and so good. The habanero salsa is gnarly spicy and so good.
