Hotel booked for two nights. No light in the bathroom upon arrival. Despite six hours of repairs, still no light available. Instead promised a discount on the room rate. On the second day late checkout until 1600 desired. Despite being a platinum customer, a full night's extra was instructed directly by the manager to the receptionist. The customer next to me got a 50% discount. This is obviously based on gender or appearance. The promised discount for the damaged room was also forgotten. In addition, no room cleaning over the entire time. Constant knocking on the door despite the note do not disturb. The management should be changed urgently. Just outrageous.

Love this hotel! Clean, modern, super close to Saint Mary’s, and a 15-20 minute walk to the Mayo Gonda building. I have to give a huge shout out to Leah. She is by far one of the best Marriott associates I’ve come across over the years! Thank you Leah, for going above and beyond! Also, thank you to Didi, who is always so kind and helpful! Angie (I believe she was new) was super nice, and Jamie was great too. Thank you to the entire staff for providing the best customer service during our stays! I really appreciate it.

We booked this hotel since it was right across the street from the hospital for our two week stay at Mayo for my husband’s open-heart surgery. We assumed since it was right across the street, it would mostly be Mayo patients staying there and it would be a good place for him to recuperate once released from the hospital (before we were released to fly home). What we did not realize was that a rowdy travel sports team would be staying here. Between the slamming doors, screaming/yelling/running in the halls all afternoon and night, and screaming outside the windows, it definitely was not a quiet place to recuperate. The hotel does put out signs saying it needs to be quiet after 10pm, but that didn’t happen. The last thing you want to hear at a hospital hotel is screaming and yelling all day long. My husband was required to take many short slow walks throughout the day once released and we were unable to walk the halls safely due to kids running down the hall, flying around corners, and pushing past us. Definitely a great location to the hospital. A quick two minute walk, max. Wonderful bar with fantastic bartenders that are so nice. Decent restaurant. Housekeeping went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed for recovery (extra pillows, a recliner, etc). It’s just unfortunate that a place you’re thinking is a recovery hotel isn’t necessarily that. We didn’t complain to the hotel because this was out of their control, but suggest confirming before booking if you’re staying for a Mayo procedure that there are no travel teams or large youth groups staying at the same time.

We had many small experiences that led us to not be happy with this hotel. The parking garage was small and difficult for our full size pick up to park as many spaces were full and made it difficult to maneuver into a space and back out. There is no smoking inside, so they decided to put the smoking post 5 feet from the entrance to the elevator from the parking garage. This caused difficulty entering as there were multiple smokers outside and have diminished lung capacity. At first glance the room was spacious and neat. Then while unloading our luggage we found that the closet was still dirty on the walls and floors and that there was items not picked up under the desk. The worst part of the room cleanliness was when we went to shower, pulled back the shower curtain and two used wash cloths fell down. Eww. After supper, we went to enjoy the hot tub. We were not a fan of having to walk by the restaurant in our swim attire and then to find out that the hot tub was broken. The beds were harder then I like and we were assigned street view which meant that we heard all the traffic all night long. When checking out, we inquired about the hot tub being down and if perhaps we could get a discount for not being able to use it. The most disappointing thing was the man behind the desk stated no that in the future they have rooms with hot tubs in them if we want to ensure we have a hot tub. I think that was the most disappointing thing, he tried to upsell us instead of showing empathy. As stated, none of these were critical on their own, but added up to an unpleasant experience.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel - it's location - right across the street from St. Mary's - safety! - welcoming! - wonderful service at the bar, restaurant and front desk by EVERYONE! I was there for an extended visit while my son was in the hospital across the street. I felt right at home. I will ALWAYS RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND I WILL ALWAYS STAY HERE WHEN I'M IN ROCHESTER.

Our room’s carpeting was very dirty. My slippers soles are black now. The windows on the balcony doors are filthy and so was the balcony furniture. Obviously it is NEVER cleaned. I can not understand why hotels place bedspreads on beds still. Everyone that stays in hotels frequently, know that these are NEVER washed. We were extremely fortunate to get a room though as the manager had made a mistake and reserved the wrong hotel for us. Pretty d*** mistake!

Thomas at the front desk went above and beyond. I left an important piece of my nightly breathing device in my room on the morning I hurriedly checked out headed down the road to Methodist hospital for surgery. After looking all around my hospital room (with the help of the kind nurses at Mayo Clinic), at around midnight I called the hotel and reached Thomas. He immediately went into action and investigated the situation. Shortly thereafter he called me back with the good news that the alert maid staff had turned the item in (it is unusual and small). After some discussion, Thomas offered to bring the item to my hospital room in the morning AFTER HIS NIGHT SHIFT. This morning it was delivered to me by the hospital admissions staff-Thomas kept word. I am non-ambulatory but traveling home to California tomorrow. Without that device I likely would be comprised in my care for weeks waiting for a replacement. Thomas clearly understood .The hotel is obviously efficiently run and, as an Ambassador level guest I have no hesitation to highly recommend this hotel. If you see Thomas, be sure and give him my regards.Nice Job.

Very comfortable and accommodating staff. Very clean and so convenient to Mayo StMarys Hospital, Parking is under building although there are some outside upper level parking. They were able to supply us with a recliner for my husband to be more comfortable after surgery. Restaurant and Bistro on site and near other nice restaurants and a bakery within easy walking distance.

Hotel feels like an older Courtyard. The room was fine. Just needs a refresh. Hotel feels a bit worn. Room had a small balcony which was nice. Parking is covered. Workout area and pool are ok. Staff was nice. Just needs to be updated and brought up to Courtyard par.

I stayed here for 2 nights in a king room with a balcony. I was here because I had appointments at Mayo. The front desk staff is great, very kind and friendly. Even though it is February it was nice to be able to open the door to the balcony to let some fresh air in. The pool area is nice and clean. The hotel was very clean. Rooms were well appointed. Thank you again for a great stay.

Some guests stayed here for a funeral. They were very impressed by the precautions taken to dispell the fears of covid. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We all would recommend this hotel. Across from St Mary's hospital.

The first 10 days of our stay was covered by my cousin's Marriott points. At check-out, I told the front desk to put the stay beyond the 10 days on our credit card instead of my cousins--both cards they had on file. I just found out they put the whole stay on my cousin's credit card. *face palm*Many nights I ordered food from local restaurants to be delivered to our room. One night, the front desk told the delivery person my name wasn't on the room and wouldn't let him deliver it to the room. That is an outright lie. My name is most definitely on the room. The night before check-out, our vehicle was broken into in the Marriott parking lot. The restaurant in the hotel doesn't really have a vegan entree selection, not even a veggie burger.

The staff at this hotel are consistently professional and nice to deal with. The rooms are dated. I don’t think this hotel has been remodeled since it opened about 20 years ago. It’s clean enough but it definitely needs a refresh. All four pillows on the bed were foam rubber, overstuffed, and lumpy. If you’re a stomach sleeper like me, choose another hotel. Also the parking garage is small and the individual stalls are very narrow. The hotel is very convenient to the St Mary’s hospital complex. If you’re going to St Mary’s that’s great. If you’re going to one of the Mayo Clinic buildings then there are better choices closer to the clinic.
