What a great place! In the basement of building. Low lighting and fun atmosphere. Live music nightly from 6-9.Fast and friendly service from the hostess, bartender, and waitress were all so friendly.Highly recommend dill salmon and lobster ravioli. We ordered bruschetta, and it was good...however they serve bread w olive oil and Parmesan cheese before meal for free. It was delicious.We will be back!!Parking: We drove around for a bin and eventually got a spot in free parking lot behind building

The Redwood Room is truly a hidden gem in Rochester, MN. Its cozy atmosphere and pleasant ambience make it an ideal spot for a romantic date or a casual night out with friends. Live music is often played, adding to the welcoming vibe. I have tried several dishes here and found the salmon, chicken Milanese, and creamy Cajun sauté to be particularly delicious. I highly recommend the latter with fettuccini or pasta instead of rice. They will happily accommodate your request if you ask. It's been around for a while and i remember even as a kid coming a few times with my parents to celebrate birthdays. Definitely a place to try if you are in the area.

Upon entering (on a Saturday night) there were roughly 5 parties waiting ahead of us. We were initially told it would be a 35 minute wait, but we only waited about 15. The hostess assured us our wait would be worth it, and she was not wrong. The service, atmosphere, and food were all above expectations! We know many people who come here regularly and we see why- will be coming back more often!

The redwood room has the best old fashioned in Rochester, hands down. I loved the atmosphere and vibe of the whole building. It was dimmer lighting, with live guitar, but not too loud. They also make a great cherry limeade mocktail 10/10

I can count on one hand the number of BAD reviews I've left about restaurants. But here I go. Staying at nearby hotel before appts at Mayo next day. After a long drive I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner. Walked across street and ordered (to go) Saffron scallops with shrimp hash, at $30 price. When I opened the container I really thought they'd forgotten some of the entre! There were 3 small overcooked shrimp and four very small scallops which were seared completely black. Little rubber pucks. The accompanying "hash" was less than 1/2 cup. That was it, for $30! Unbelievable. Think twice before eating there. I would NEVER return.Thanks for literally nothing Redwood Room.
Nikki was our server. She was an amazing and attentive server. 10. Our first experience there , she made it even more memorable than expected. We also want to recognize the bartender. Our drinks were delicious. We will be back. Rating is 10.Thank you and Happy new year.

We had ordered cocktails and she would bring out one at a time every thirty minutes and then told us they ran out of mix so we had to choose something else and then guess what thirty minutes later no drink and she comes back and says they ran out of that too. Welcomed right away! We have been trying to go to the Redwood room for years although every time we arrive they are on a 1.5-2 hour wait. This time, 20-25 min! So glad we stuck around! First timers & it was absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the carne asada appetizer, pork medallion entree with apple cider sauce & scallops for dinner. No crumbs left behind. Awesome ambiance as well- front row to watch Orchid Jane play and just felt like true date night. Staff is very friendly! Can’t wait to go back!

This is one of my favorite places in Rochester to eat! It is in my top 3 and probably my number 1. I always send my out of town friends, family, and customers here. The atmosphere is amazing and it always has live music, and not like a loud band, good acoustic musicians that set a great mood, I especially love when Clay Fulton or Jeremy jewel play! I am confident when I send people here that they can order anything on the menu and it will be amazing, the chicken basilini is my favorite and it is very fairly priced. I always say it is Rochester's best kept secret, I always bring my out of town friends here and it's a great date night or ladies night place, it has the perfect vibe, romantic and personal and easy to have good long conversations with friends and the hubby! We used to eat here at least once a month if not almost weekly but just don't go out as much as we used to but I have been twice this past month, the service is amazing except one older short lady with bleach blond short hair, she can be a little rude and inattentive so if you get her just don't be afraid to wave her down or match her dryness lol, she still does a good job but that is literally the only thing I can even critique on this place, it is amazing, food and service is some of the best in Rochester and I love the ambience, so cozy❤️
