“Really nice space and like the fact that they have food service from Tipsy Steer. I had the Baby got Bock (amber) and the Pinecone which were both very good. The food was also good, I had the cheese pizza. This is definitely worth the visit if you're in the Minneapolis area.“

“It's one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in Minneapolis. The atmosphere and service are standard brewpub. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary.Food is solid, mostly standard bar food, but it's well done with the cheese curds being noteworthy. The beer is definitely the highlight, there is a wide variety of well executed styles with the big barrel aged beers being some of the best in the state.I've been several times, and I'm sure I will be back next time I'm in Minneapolis.“

“Awesome little bar. One amazing selection of both beers and wines. Some of the best European choices I've seen anywhere. Their local brewed beer was very good. The knocwaurst that we had was also awesome. Pretzel very tasty. And the discussions with the owner/bartender was what made it all worthwhile.Parking: There was some available street parking but if it was busy there would be very little. There is a lot for the nearby university that I believe can be used to park.“

“I wanted to come back and update my review. I can easily say that after frequenting just about every Minnesota Brewery, St Paul brewing (originally the Hamms brewery) is in my top 3. I love everything about this place. The atmosphere is very unique and fun, the taps are great (their “Shamms” is my favorite), and the staff are always friendly and inviting. I would highly recommend coming here!“

“Finally tried out northbound smokehouse and it did not disappoint! They have both an indoor and outdoor seating area great for when weather permits! (Picnic tables outside on the patio) There are plenty of drink options from beer, cocktails, wines, to non alcoholic. I ordered the cider sidecar (7/10) and tried one of the IPAs (8/10) and thought both were pretty good. For food we got smoked wings (sweet and spicy 7/10) and cheese curds (8/10). For my main meal I got the brisket grilled cheese which was delicious! (9/10) Our server was very tentative and our food came out timely! I will be returning in the future!“

“Freehouse located right in North Loop has a great patio! My two favorite menu items, dynamic duo drink and Brussels sprouts appetizer. Absolutely fantastic every time! We also tried out the cheese curds, wings and roto bird baguette, all were also very good. The two sauces with the cheese curds really level it up. Recommend Freehouse if you're looking for a good patio, lively atmosphere and consistent food/drinks.“

“Self-service taps is a cool idea, but that means no bartender and no familiar faces, the sort of thing you want in a neighborhood spot. That said, it was clean, comfortable, reasonably quiet, and the food was good. They had a wall full of games, which would be pretty cool if you planned on hanging out for a while. The taps had a good variety, wine, seltzers and beers, but it would have been nice to have a little more varieties or maybe a couple more recognized brands. All in all, a nice spot and definitely worth a visit.Parking: Fair amount of free on-street parking.Kid-friendliness: Seems like a perfectly fine place for kids. The games and deep booth seats certainly help.“

“My group of 3 stop in before seeing a show last night. We all got they royal burger, which I really liked, i loved the fact the chips they came with were tortilla chips. I really like tortilla chips. The fried cheese curds were really good too.The did forget to bring us our cheese curds, but brought them out right away when we brought it to their attention.Drink wise, I got a cider (I don't like beer personally) which was from number twelve next door. It was as I expected, I liked it. Wasn't too dry or too sweet. My friend got the midas and he said it wasn't bad, but not really his favorite. My sister in law got bi-frost bridge, which she did like a lot.Service was pretty good, the two guys behind the bar were really nice and helpful.I liked the interior set up, I tend to like open floor concepts. They have some games and stuff to play too if you wanted. Will definitely come again if I'm in the area.“
