Whatever the reason for the temporary closure is, I hope it's not permanent. We recently discovered Augustine's, and fell in love with the food, the atmosphere, and the great staff. Hoping to dine there again soon!

Had an amazing meal here!

Very low key location for a good meal. The menu is limited but what they offer, they do well. Clean and appropriate servers. Never could complain about Augustine's truffle fries, absolutely dangerous

I dined here with friends last night and had an amazing meal. The "aviator" cocktail was wonderful and the "young hen" large plate was scrumptious and the perfect size for dinner. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. I can't think of anything to say that isn't positive. There is no tipping because the cost of the meal covers good pay and benefits for the staff, yet it was quite affordable for the quality of the food. I highly recommend!

Another gem of a restaurant Saint Paul has to offer us. Caught our eye, because the hippo logo/mascot is awesome, cute, and cool. The atmosphere is composed and mature. The menu options are refined as well. The gnocchi was soft, toothsome, and delicious. And the shoestring cut fries are so sinfully addictive, that you could spend a whole night eating them if you are not careful.

The menu options and quality of food prep was so much better than last time that I visited. Possibly a new chef? We really enjoyed everything. Pleasant staff and nice atmosphere. So happy to see a quality restaurant in our neighborhood. We'll be back very soon.

This place was surprisingly good! Definitely a surprise for a not as well known restaurant. The decor was cute but the lights were a bit bright for dinner. We started with a couple of cocktails which were amazing. The corn chowder was so tasty - thick, creamy, sweet and a little spicy from the jalapeño. The curry gnocchi was also very good, we were scraping the plate to get all the sauce. The duck l'orange was incredibly juicy although the parsnips that it came with were very undercooked. We ended with the apple spice cake which I wish had been warmed. The ice cream was very good though! My husband's favorite part was that tip was included in the price of the food. We plan to come back and try more of the menu!

We went here without recommendation- just searching for restaurants in this area. Everything at Augustine’s exceeded our expectations. Nice decor, good service and excellent food.My wife had the tortelloni and I had the burger. The pasta was excellent. Delicious garlic lemon ricotta filling in a nice medley of vegetables with a dash of flavorful cream. My wife placed it as one of her favorite dishes of the year ( that’s saying something for her). The burger was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Surprisingly, the BUN was the ringer. It was a brioche. I would compare it to eating a croissant in bread form. Having lived in France for two years, I’ve eaten my fair share of delicious brioche, Augustine’s can contend with many of them.I recommend this restaurant with full endorsement.

The corn chowder will change the way you view soups. Unbelievable. The bartender (Ryan?) was great as well. We'll definitely be back.

We found out about this restaurant less than a month ago and have been there twice in the last three weeks. Excellent food and service and a very comfortable environment. It's a 30 mile drive for us as we live in the Western suburbs. Between us, we have tried about half of the menu items and have not been disappointed The chicken is fantastic, as are the mussels. The garden salad is fantastic and the lentils under the skate wing are to die for.

The best meal we have had in so long - Aubrey, our server, gave amazing recommendations. The special was a burrata salad that was to die for. Food was so fresh, delicious and perfectly made. Could not recommend it more. Go!

We were able to reserve a table last minute on a Saturday night. We started with the mussels. It was so good!! We could of had more bread for the amazing broth. For our main course I ordered the chicken which was good, my husband ordered the tortellini. His entree was one of our favorite dishes!! All the ingredients came together to create an amazing dish. Staff was on point, and we will definitely will go back again!

This lovely restaurant is right in our neighborhood. We're lucky.A welcoming staff, a large beer selection and a creative menu full of interesting dining choices had brought us back there many times. The decor is also a nice draw.

I totally agree with the 20% higher prices for service charge to give to all staff. But still, the burger went up in price and down in size. Didn't care for the shoe-string fries, which resembled potato chip pieces within 7 minutes. The olives in the mussels confused me. I loved the smiling staff and attentive service. Very good beer and wine selection. This used to be my favorite place to go during happy hour for the food specials. There are none now.

This is a really good neighborhood spot in St. Paul near St. Thomas. They have a new chef and menu and it is definitely worth checking it out. They have house made cocktails and wine by the bottle or glass. We tried the thyme gimlet and the giardiniera martini. Wow, these were both so good! There are a number of sampler plates. The beef tartare was good and the fries- we ate every last one! Excellent. You can pick from five or six main plates. We had the skate wing and the mussels. The mussels were very good. Great broth with celery and olives. Very delicious. The skate wing was just ok. A little bit dry and the green beans undercooked. They also have pasta, steak, burger and chicken as main plates. We ordered the nectarine tart for dessert. This was large and easily enough for two people to share. Service here has the tip included and the staff is super.
