This is a hidden gem on St. Paul's West End. If you're driving on West 7th Street, you could miss it. The steaks are always perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. A phenomenal steakhouse meal for a fraction of the steakhouse price. Friendly staff and an impressive martini menu.

Food took almost an hour then showed up cold. I paid $40 in cash and the remaining $12 on CC, but they charged the entire amount on the card so now I have to dispute. Only really good thing was the free shuttle to and from the X for Wild game

Restaurant is VERY small and crammed. The kitchen is RIDICULOUSLY small and didn't appear to be able to keep up with the orders. After waiting 30min and no food in sight we dropped $15 on the table and left. Made reservations also but that meant nothing. All waitstaff would say was “well it's busy and it's fish fry nite.” We won't be back.

Update:Wow! After waiting ten minutes for the bartender to even acknowledge that I was at the bar, I asked her to come over and ordered an old fashioned. She rolled her eyes and said “What kind? Brandy, bourbon or whiskey? I smiled and said Brandy, please. She rolled her eyes again and said “What kind?” I was seriously taken back by her hostility. Perhaps she was having an off night since she had just been nasty to one of the servers as well. The place was busy but that really is no excuse. Rocky is/was the regular bartender there. She’s great. This gal.. terrible. After years of being a regular customer, I don’t think I will go back.We love this place. The Bennett Chop Salad is the best salad I've ever eaten.

We had reservations for 5:30 on Sunday evening and received a prompt seating. The room was not full, so the noise level was moderate. It looked like a highschool hockey team and coach was seated not too far away, but they were well-behaved and left soon after we arrived. We had been to Bennett's before, and I enjoy the supper-club ambience. The waiter was helpful with suggesting house specialties--the Rueben egg-roll (unique and good), liver and onions, baby backribs, and a juicy lucy. Though the service seemed slow, everything was well-prepared--the liver was tender, the meat fell off the ribs with a sauce that wasn't too overpowering, and my granddaughter liked her juicy lucy. Oh, and the very hearty and moist carrot cake was big enough to share among the four of us. It was a good evening.

Fiance came in to place an order for carryout. We needed separate receipts and for some reason our card stopped working. We couldn't immediately pay for the second order. The first one was paid for. She said excuse me I'm going to go pick up my boyfriend real quick and I'll be back in 5 minutes with his card.So these jokers decided to make the paid for order, and not make the second order. so we get back I pay for the order immediately.Meanwhile the first order that was paid for in cash comes out and now we're stuck here waiting an extra now 15 minutes for an order that should have been made at the time we placed the damn order.Like what did you guys think was going to happen here? We were just weren't going to come back for the food we paid for and then not pay for the second one?Instead we got both our meals spaced out a bunch so the first will be cold by the time we get to hotelBoo hiss on this. And of course a bunch of people came in in that time frame from the original order to coming back to pay so we had to wait an unusually amount of time for a bunch of other orders to be finished and brought out. :(Excellent food however.

They have a Lent fish special on Fridays. The bartender blew it. Wrong price and no coleslaw. A beer was $5.25.

My group had a reservation for 7pm on Friday with the intention of ordering the fish fry. We were disappointed to hear that they were currently not taking any new requests for the fish fry to accommodate the existing patrons if they wanted additional fish for the AYCE special. Now, if a Friday fish fry was something your restaurant was experimenting with, I could understand the miscalculation, but you've been doing this for years, plus our reservation wasn't at the end of the night where you may have been at the end of your fish quota for the evening. Needless to say, we opted to dine at another establishment for their fish fry. Your fish fry has been on our "must try" list, so this was a let down.

Great food. Great service and St. Paul neighborhood bar ambiance. Unfortunately we chose the free shuttle to and from the game and got left by the bus driver to wait outside for an estimated 40 minute return. We chose not to wait on the street for 40 minutes in 20 degree weather. The bar was only 2 miles from Xcel. Had to spend $20 to Uber back to our car at Bennett's. Advice: Go to Bennett's. The owner, bus driver, wait staff were very nice. Do NOT use the shuttle!

Old school joint with a great double sided bar. Our bartenders were great and personable, and the apps we got were tasty as hell. Def heading back.
