This is our favorite place to go after the Children's Museum. Good pizza, good drinks, good service. We don't live in Saint Paul, so this is our go-to when we visit.

Ordered lunch, was the only table initially but got our order after two other groups were seated and they received their food before us. Manager/supervisor was socializing with friends at the bar. Part of order was forgotten and we had to wave the server down to get service. Server never came back to see how the food was after we started eating and hence did not refill our drinks. Pizza was delicious but the Caesar salad was very fishy. Disappointing visit.

The place has great pizza reviews, we went for vegetable salad and skewers and they were great. They also have a selection of cocktails, beer and cider.

This review was written by my 11 year old child, arguably the target demographic for pizza! Parent also loved this place. The sauce is really the star for me. 4.5 stars The food was good and filling it was slightly Slow but I am almost sure this is because of the large amount of costumers but adding it all together i would go again and recommend.

Was staying in the downtown area for business and happened upon this place. Looked like a decent so my coworker and I decided to give it a try. We showed up around 5:45ish on a Monday and there wasn't that many people there but as the night went on that changed pretty fast. So we both decided to build our own pizza's, I went with pepperoni and bacon while my coworker got pepperoni and mushroom. Pizza's did take a little while to come out but who knows how long it takes to cook one of these but when it did it was worth the wait. Pizza was excellent and it def hit the spot. So comparing the price point to similar places it is a little bit more expensive. Places like Mod Pizza and Pieology they do not charge for toppings but I do feel like the quality of the toppings Black Sheep uses is better but it's an extra $2.25/topping. They do have a pizza menu with set prices but the toppings are uncommon toppings combined together. If you wanted a traditional supreme or combination it appears you'd have to pay the $2.25 a pop to do it which could add up pretty quickly. I would say if you're ideal pizza is 1-2 toppings this place hits it....but if your idea pizza is anything beyond that then I feel it gets priced out. Overall though...great pizza place. If we ever have to come back to St. Paul this place would definitely be a place to go back to.

Pizza was AWESOME! Service was fine. Go early if you want to catch HH. It ends at 5 here. ?

We ordered pizza and dessert to go. Pizza was very good. But dessert had a nasty curly black hair at the bottom. Destroyed any chance of going back.

Alrighty. The service is terrible. Like laughable. But the pizza was really good. We got the chicken and peppers. Way overpriced, but still good. We also got one with a variety of veggies. The sauce has great flavor. This is just about the only kind of crust I like. It was so good. They do plenty of ingredients on the pizzas. The staff just needs an etiquette class.

The pizza is no longer worth the money. They charged us $28 for a two topping 16" pizza. We had a glass wine and a cocktail. The total tab was over $58. While I don't mind spending that much on dinner for the two of us, I expect good food. The pizza was so burnt that the edges of the crust were charcoal. They crumbled as black ash in my hand. I could only eat half of each slice because the bottom was so burnt. I might as well been chewing on a stick from the fireplace. If you insist on making an 80% profit on each pie, at least make it taste good. I hate to say it, but next time I will order Domino's. It is sad when Domino's tastes better.

Black sheep coal oven pizza Regarded as one of the best pizza places in the whole state of Minnesota and it did not disappoint. . Coal oven pizza has a taste all on its own that makes it taste amazing but I loved their big time pepperoni's and highly recommended the pizza for anyone visiting the twin cities.

The pizza is decent but a little light on cheese and heavy on olive oil. Toppings are a little pricey but generously portioned. They have locally made soda options and several caffeine-free options, which is always nice. If you are in a wheelchair or other mobility device, please note that you cannot use the front entrance because there are stairs. There is a ramp but it requires someone to let you in through the apartment entrance and there are several heavy doors, none of which have auto-open switches. If you are ordering take-out, the staff are friendly and will bring it out to you. I wish there were a note about that on the website. Also of note but not Black Sheep's fault: one of the blocks across from Robert St Parking Ramp on the Black Sheep side has no curb cut at all, so stay on the ramp side of Robert until you cross to Black Sheep.

I come here quite often, 2 maybe 3 times a week. Great food and great atmosphere. Unfortunately they have decided to implement the new vaccine mandate. I was told that it was only for 3 weeks and I can come back after. It's a shame, I liked this place to bad I'll never be back.

Crust was really good but definitely not enough cheese for the price. Kinda disappointment thankfully my date was hott.
