Always enjoyed eating at Dixie's. Food was good and always a fun atmosphere. Sadly, it was rumored to be closing this winter

I will miss you guys so much! A perfect date location. I will always remember your crock of mac and cheese - my partner and I always loved to split it.

Great fried chicken, chops, grits, etc… Friendly staff… Nice atmosphere and patio… One of Grand Avenue’s best!

Cute patio, good selection of booze, nice service. But food is inconsistent. Artichoke dip appetizer was fun. Big chunks of artichoke and a fun fried bread, grits were lumpy and ok, Brussel sprouts were bland, coconut shrimp was a greasy mess...plus the chili dip had a weird, unappetizing flavor, jalapeño cornbread muffin was very undercooked in middle.

Dixie's is a go to spot on a Sunday. They used to have a Sunday make your own Bloody Mary - due to covid that had to stop for the time being. The food at Dixie's is consistently good. Had the Southern chicken wings today and they were great. Staff is always friendly.

I and two friends dined recently at Dixies and had a very positive experience. My friends had a salad with coconut crusted shrimp and the fish and chips. They seemed satisfied with their entrees. I had a cup of shrimp bisque which was excellent followed by the jambalaya. It was loaded with shrimp, pork and sausage and had a perfect level of "heat". Service was friendly and prompt.

I have not actually eaten in the restaurant for over two years. In the interim, I've ordered takeout through their website or delivery through DoorDash/GrubHub. Blackened catfish is my usual choice and Dixie's is the only restaurant I've found that consistently offers that on their menu. It is always perfectly cooked and seasoned. I could eat that every day...well, at least a couple of times a week. It's served with their jalapeño tartar sauce, which is very silky and flavorful; much more elevated than the tartar sauce with mayonnaise and chopped pickles that most restaurants serve. Unfortunately, the paired side is red beans and rice, which is okay, but not a favorite. As a result, I always order an extra side, usually cheese grits. I did order the mashed potatoes and gravy once, but those were horrible. They tasted like they were leftovers from a couple of days before, then reheated and served to me. I requested and received a refund for that fail. Sometimes I eat the beans and rice a day or two later, often I just throw them away. When I picked up today's order, the server informed me I can always substitute one of the other $4 or $5 sides for the red beans and rice...just write in my requested substitution when placing my order. Wish I had known that months ago.

I came expecting a full menu of southern classics prepared a certain way, did not necessarily find that here, but the meal I did have was very delicious and all staff were friendly, great at their jobs and willing to answer all questions and offer suggestions to our table.

Service was phenomenal. Drinks are amazing and food tasted delicious. Bartenders were friendly but professional. Will be back!

The most pathetic excuse for southern cooking you will ever have the misfortune of experiencing. If you've yet to experience the fine art of southern cuisine, do yourself a favor and avoid this - at best - mediocre representation of southern tradition. I've had better service and better food at roadside stands in 'middle of nowhere' Louisiana.
