We had a fabulous experience at Emmett's Public House. Our server Samantha's customer service was top notch and she was very attentive! The food was delicious and filling! Would come back and recommend to others! Bonus was getting to meet the owner. Thanks for a great time!

A little under-whelming menu selection. I had omelette with side of beans, wife had one of the Benedict selections. Server / service was great. Overall venue was ok - everything is shiny and new. Not a bad experience by any means - just not an unforgettably amazing experience to warrant returning anytime soon.

Great food, great Guinness poor and pub atmosphere. It’s a little loud when full, but maybe I’m just getting old! Highly recommended.

Great Irish Pub in St. Paul in brand new building. The food was delicious and the service was great. We had the pretzel cheese curds, Irish Stew, and a Reuben. We really liked the experience at the new Emmett’s and will be back.

I am 2 for 2 on having items compensated here because things went wrong. Which is really disappointing since the food was decent, but I’m not sure if I will be back after these experiences. The first time a few months ago, I was served a water glass that had a sizeable obvious chunk of something mysterious stuck on the inside. It was honestly quite disgusting to even look at and more gross knowing I drank water from it before I realized. I told our server and later the manager came over and offered us a free dessert to make up for it. Besides that, the service was super slow that night but I didn’t think too much on it since it was pretty busy. We decided to give it another try for St. Patrick’s day and we were there towards the end of the night when it was no longer very busy (We were seated without a wait and tables around us were empty). There was apparently confusion on who our server was which seemed to cause a lot of problems. One server came up to us awhile after we were seated and informed us he wasn’t our server but could take our order. We ordered an appetizer, 2 entrees, and water. Our entrees were brought out to us first, without any drinks or the appetizer still. Halfway through eating, nobody still had approached us so I wandered around until I found where I could pour us our own water. A bit later when we were more than halfway done with our meal, a lady came up to us for the first time who apparently was supposed to be our server and told us they would offer us a free dessert and were sorry for the service since they saw me pour my own water. We did not complain before this offer, they just seem to be in the habit of offering free desserts which is not a good sign ? not only this situation, but I also asked halfway through eating our entree if we were still getting our appetizer and the response was “oh you didn’t get told for some reason but we are out of that sorry do you want anything else” ?????? Even after the apology for the service, we didn’t see our server again for a very long time, and it also took 10 minutes to grab us the dessert menu and another 10 minutes to come back for our order. We really just did not want to wait any longer and asked for a discount instead of a dessert we would have to wait another significant amount of time for. The whole situation was so confusing how the service could be so bad given the restaurant was only half full. This place is a headache. I really try to not leave negative reviews for businesses but I’m hoping that the service issues can be worked on and I will be able to go back in the future to enjoy the food.

I get that St. Patrick's Day can be busy but if you don't turn off Doordash, you should honor the orders you get. I am a more regular customer than the people that just come for the holiday. Cancelling an order at the time it is due to be delivered is just rude.

We were visiting from out of town and looking for a place to watch soccer when we happened upon Emmett's Public House. It's not a sports bar, of course, but the owner quickly accommodated our request! We had an excellent breakfast and enjoyed talking with one of the owners and looking at the amazing historic features all around. Emmett's is bright and welcoming but also has the feel that it's been around for ages. I highly recommend it and we'll definitely be back when we're in town again!

A great Irish pub right on Grand! The chicken pot pie was to die for and there were so many things on the menu I will be going back to try. The brussels sprouts were sub par - a bit too soft for me. I prefer them crispy but someone else may love them cooked softer. Loved the mulled wine on the drink menu!
