We were a party of 4 and they sat us right next to the bar which was very loud and we could not converse to each other within our party. It was not enjoyable trying to yell across the

The food was absolutely delicious. We has 3 burgers; gabes burger, breakfast burger and the tavern burger. They were cooked perfectly and toppings complimented the burgers so well. Also had the hot Buffalo sandwich and wow! Best meal we've had in a while.

Gabe’s is a must-stop if you’re in the area. Great food and atmosphere. Options for all diets - our family is vegetarian and they had tons of options.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options all over the menu and they have Impossible burger patties that can be used on any burger or sandwich. I got the pastrami hash without pastrami and it was delicious.Kid-friendliness: Great kids meal options and the fries are so tasty - great for picky eaters.

I love the vibe at Gabe's, and the service has always been wonderful, but just as a warning to vegetarians, the new menu that was adopted a few years back leaves a lot to be desired. Of the entrees that are vegetarian, I've found the flavors to be lacking and non-appetizing. So for veg friends, definitely go for the drinks, but maybe eat ahead of time.

I do not want to eat walleye tacos from anywhere else ever again. There are so good, I "wowed" out loud when I first tried them. The buffalo chicken sandwich is super tasty and well made. The loaded tots were a little lack laster for toppings and the cheese sauce was mushy (? I don't know how to describe it, like it split or something) - basically what we got didn't match what was expected by the pic. Again though, the freaking walleye tacos *drooooool*.

My boyfriend and I have driven by Gabe's many time and finally went to try it on Superbowl Sunday! We were looking forward to watching the Superbowl and enjoying a meal together. They offer a huge parking lot & plenty of seating once you enter the restaurant. We were told to seat ourselves, and due to the lack of people we sat in a booth surrounded by TV's. If you are looking for a quieter sports bar this is your place. I was super happy with the amount of TV's and seating offered, and would be a great spot for a group of any size. Our server was great and she was very attentive. We both ordered drinks that were tasty and strong. I chose to get the taco salad with chicken and it was delicious, I still think about it! My boyfriend ordered the double cheeseburger with loaded tots and he scarfed it all down! I am really looking forward to going to Gabe's again in the future.

The Best Fish Fry Ever ! Cooked to Perfection, crisp, fresh, firm, flakey fish with light Crisp breading. We wait for Gabe's Lent fish fry every year. You will feel at home & Welcome anytime of the year, but you can't miss their fish fry.

Classic Midwest bar & grill with a "Cheers" vibe! There were lots of sandwich and burger options with the option of a gluten free bun (that didn't immediately fall apart). I did confirm with the waitress and they do have a shared fryer so the tots were sadly a no go. Otherwise it was a nice meal with friendly and knowledgeable staff!

Gabe's is a great St. Paul sports bar featuring a nice sized bar and dining area as well as a private event space and bar in the back. I would also like to note this is a well known Packers bar. So if you are looking to watch a Vikes game this might not be the spot. I've never had a bad meal here. Weather it's apps, burgers, salads, or brunch, you can expect a solid meal. My most recent visit I had cheese curds which were incredible. The marinara on the side was some of the best I've had and the cheese curds had an epic gooey pull to them. Also order the current special that was PB&J Fried Chicken Sandwich. That was also delicious and had lots of flavor to it. Service is what you would expect from a local sports bar that is mostly regulars. Bartenders/servers are all friendly, fun, and attentive but tend to put regulars first. Which for me is totally fine. The regulars are also really friendly and easy to strike up conversation with. If you are looking for a Cheers type feel in a bar and some decent grub - Gabe's is the spot to be.
