The server was great it's just a bad food n drinks. The worst esspresso martini I've ever had. And for the place that's suppose to be known for there burgers they were SO mediocre. I will probably not be back there's so many better places in dowmtown st

First time here our meal was amazing and we've been looking forward to going back. Tonight was the night and it was very disappointing. Husband ordered a burger - no cheese and of course it came with cheese. Server who had to deal with it was very nice and took care of it. Our waitress never commented on the mix up. I ordered the Turkey Pot Pie which I have told people is THE BEST...not tonight. The flavor of the turkey was off, way too much gravy and what was supposed to be delightfully crisp and delicious pastry was half cooked at best- raw and gross. Good drinks and really good cheese curds but the main events were a serious let down. I commented on the pot pie and didn't get much of any response. Sad. Left hungry and probably won't go back. Bummer...still remember how good the first turkey pot pie was.

Staff seemed short staffed HOWEVER our service did an amazing job. While not able to chit chat she was fast and helpful with our order. The food was good we got the fish and chips. Would love to try more of the food. A cute little tavern with a good vibe. Place to go if you are looking for American food and a good time

This place was great. Nice menu, nice ambience and the prices were great! Situated between The Saint Paul Hotel and The Intercontinental on Wabasha. The gorilla had a cheeseburger he liked greatly whereas the hippo (me) had an open faced turkey sandwich. My turkey was a little overcooked but not inedible. The real mashed potatoes and roasted veggies were very good. Just the reasonable prices alone warrants eating here.

Upscale bar food. We originally stopped in prior to a wild game. The food is upscale bar food with a gourmet twist. The service was fun and efficient. The wait staff intelligent and efficient.

Went for lunch with a group of 6. Everyone enjoyed their food of burgers, tacos, salad and turkey plate. Atmosphere is great - casual but a couple steps up from the usual sport bar setting we have come to assume. Even had cloth napkins, but prices were very reasonable. Will be back for happy hour!!

I really liked the mushrooms and onions on my French Dip but the meat was pretty dry. The service was very friendly and welcoming so we will give this place another chance!

Went here last year and liked it, completely different this year. The service was poor, the server seemed annoyed that we were there (and they weren't busy). My wife asked if they had a hot drink on the menu, server said no, but then we saw a hot cocoa drink. Was described as having whipped cream, came out tepid with no whipped cream. Mentioned that and the server was irritated, said she'd try to find some. She did. Burgers were lackluster (one piece of bacon on the deep fried bacon burger, really??) and the fries were soggy and not really fresh. Won't be back.

They lost a star for food because the turkey pot pie was not a pot pie. The bowl had the potpie filling in the bottom, and then there was a slightly burnt bread thrown on top of it. I'm sorry... a pot pie should have a flaky crust that encapsulates the filling. While the bread was not flaky and slightly burnt, it was still tasty. My wife and one of our friends had the open face turkey sandwich. They both loved it. My wife had the GF bun and said it was one of the better GF buns she's had. The Tots were crispy and wonderful. Our other friend had the Wild West Wabasha burger. He enjoyed it. More like inhaled it. He said it was fantastic. While the food was very tasty and the service was great, there is a 5% kitchen service fee added to the bill, which was clearly designated as not the service tip. It was on the menu, and we were aware of it ahead of time. But come on... just raise the price. Additional fees are just upsetting, and I'd rather just pay a higher price for the meal. Also, they were out of Moscato. How does a tavern run out of a wine on a Friday evening? Our server was amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable. We'll go back for sure.Vegetarian options: They can replace any burger with a vegiburger.Dietary restrictions: They have GF buns.Parking: There is a ramp immediately across the street and one built into the building. The built-in one, you have to. Walk around a bit. Kind of odd. It's easier to park in the one across the street. They don't validate.

Great, lively atmosphere. Service was great and friendly. Felt like we were very well taken care of. Food was even more amazing than it sounded. We're from out of state and super grateful to have chosen this restaurant out of everything around. Highly recommend!
