“We came to El Aguila for a late dinner, hungry and looking forward to settling down for a good meal. The restaurant was empty, quiet and calm. We were seated quickly, and served complimentary crispy chips and spicy salsa while we looked over the menu. The menu was pretty extensive, with many options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The prices were quite high, around $15-$20 per item, definitely a bit much but we decided to give it a chance. We ordered a burrito and a combo that had papusas and tamales, a good amount of food to share. The food came quickly and was hot, delicious, and well-presented.We left happy with our order, though feeling like it may have been a bit overpriced. We hope to come again some time and try breakfast perhaps. ?“
“I loved it, if I could I would give them up to 100 stars ? the food was delicious and the waiter who served us was also very good, we will return from now on more often ?? Something I want to add is that they also have baby changing facilities, and the bathrooms look very clean.“
“I have been here a few times and have not been disappointed. When you walk towards barrio you see a nice patio area with an ample amount of tables facing Mears Park. Inside is decorated in one of my favorite colors red. There are red booths, red High tops, and red chairs. There is a giant red bull on the wall at the entrance and a giant bar. The bar has a great selection of tequila and they do make a good drink. They have old-school rolling library ladders to reach the libations on the various shelves. They have a good selection of tacos and a fantastic selection of margaritas to quench your thirst. One of the coolest items is the giant brass-looking bull in the back that makes me think of Wall Street. Then the mask collection on the wall that leaves you wondering who would win in this lineup. I have had almost everything on the menu and my favorite tacos include the pork belly taco which is divine. Then the Mahi Mahi and the ahi tuna taco. The carnitas taco is also mouth-watering. I stopped in for some bubbly and Maddie was my server. Maddie was on top of it and a fantastic server. Even though the place was extremely busy she kept an eye to make sure my cup never runith dry. It's a breath of fresh air to get service with a smile and to see the staff having fun while they work making it not look like a sweat shop. I ran into their manager Kate who was fantastic she as well as the other manager Parker were all over the place being a part of the team. It is very rare these days to see management get their hands dirty and these two were serving, cleaning, and bartending. At night barrio has a dance area and a DJ and can be a fun time. There is nothing more fun than tequila and a dance floor. Now that patio season has officially started come down to Barrio and show them some love.“
“So glad I found this place -good food, reasonable prices, large serving sizes. The chips are not overly greasy or salty rather they are just right.Dietary restrictions: I am trying to watch my salt intake and I felt everything I ate fit into that restriction.“
“The food is very tasty and for the price is about right for the size of the dishes. The service is not as quick, but they will treat you the best they can. There is not a parking lot (or at least I didn't see it)so street park it is. Definitely worth to give it a chance and try a good Ecuadorian food/experience ?“
“This is such a cute cafe with amazing food! Counter service with self serve water. The staff was very friendly and speedy with my food. I highly recommend the pork. It was soo tender it just fell apart. The seasoning was subtle with just the right amount of saltiness. The rice and beans were bland but were a good carb to soak up the juiciness of the pork. The sweet plantains were perfect in every way. They had beautifully crunchy bottoms from being fried. The arepa con queso was good. There is a sweetness with the butter and maybe in the corn masa itself. Its very dense and rich, i would recommend splitting with a friend if possible.“
“My favorite empanadas in the metro! The crust is always soft, not too thick and the chicken filling savory. The trio meal is my go-to and I like to switch up my sides between yucca fries, sweet plantains and campero rice and add a horchata when I dine in. I hear they're expanding with more locations in the cities too. I'm not big on fast food, but this place hits right. Dine in vibe as expected for fast food joint and they have a drive thru.“
“Been to this place several times and it has never disappointed when I'm craving Latin cuisine. The service is spectacular and give great suggestions if you want to try somewhere new. Can be a bit loud at night and unfortunately for our server and my kiddos it was a bit embarrassing to have some fifty year olds talking like sailors yelling orders at the poor server. We gave her a big tip and she said it made her night. She apologized for those guests. Was not her fault at all as she did a wonderful job. Ambiance is pretty much like every other bar and Latin restaurant. The chips and salsa are ok as the salsa is not my favorite, but that is the only thing that is mediocre. It's also complementary so can you really complain lol? My go to is the carnitas which is so full of flavor and absolutely delicious. This time I went with on a suggestion by our server the Sopes. They let me pic a couple different meats to top it too. I went with the Al pastor and birria shredded beef. Absolutely lovely and the pineapple in the Al pastor was so fresh. Amazing! My wife got the ceviche and said the flavor was good and her only complaint was that the shrimp was over cooked. So a bit of a downer their and not raw fish like most. So ok but not their best. My mother in law got camarones your way with the spicy sauce. This if you like spice it was a home run. Delicious flavor and large quantities of everything. Very good. My son got the carne asada burrito and it was huge. He loved it. His only complaint (he could live off beans) was that there was not enough beans. He said it would also be better if they were black beans instead of refried. My little 8 year old food critic lol. No joke of you are looking for good quality Latin food that is reasonably priced this is a great place to go. Never been disappointed.“
“The tacos are amazing! I really enjoyed the shrimp one. The beef tacos were good it was dry and the chicken wasnt dry. The dessert was decent. The meat pie is good. Would recommend it again. I went during happy hours and it was a good price. But the food is amazing! Would recommend it. The service was good and the ambiance was nice.“
“If your celebrating a birthday or any special occasion come to Mitos ok, the whole ambiance the minute you arrive is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive and cudos to the chef because the food is awesome. Ronald was our server and he was just the best. I was drawn the place by the pics and a bit iffy because everyone talked abt the price but am from New York so ?? that wasn’t an issue. It’s worth the penny and do not leave without taking pics and tipping ok ? lastly I can’t forget to mention the drinks were so awesome.Parking: The parking was pretty easy and very spacious“
“This adorable cafe blends in so well with the neighborhood I almost missed it. So glad I didn’t, though! The space is clean and tidy and there are a few tables to sit and enjoy a beverage. When it got busier, staff brought out additional seating to accommodate. I enjoyed my chai tea latte and the message on the milk foam added a fun little twist. Street parking only, but it wasn’t too hard to find a spot. Would visit again and definitely worth the trip!“
