We came to Minneapolis for the Minnesota State Fair. The original plan was to go triple D for the non-fair days. But somebody recommended this restaurant and we thought it would be interesting. Very interesting menu. Excellent service. Excellent food. Recommended

Our dining experience at the St Paul Grill was excellent. Our meal was excellent as well as our server. We never felt rushed and our selections were perfectly spaced. It was one of those evenings that at the end of the meal, we felt very relaxed and very satisfied with our dining experience. We highly recommend the St, Paul Grill as a find dining experience.

First, I regret that I didn't dine here but I will correct that mistake on my next visit. I sopped in for a nightcap and dessert and am so glad I did. I sat at the bar and admired one of the most extensive collections I've ever seen wen the bartender asked what I wanted. I asked for a drink menu, and he said sure but let me help you decide. He then proceeded to get to know me, what I like, and then recommended a black-walnut Manhattan that wasn't on the bar menu. Despite the fact that the place was very busy, he made it right in front of me and engaged to get to know me more. Incredible and meaningful experience for this weary traveler - oh, and the drink and apple crisp were both superb!

Excellent food, service and ambience. Extremely professional staff who are also friendly and helpful, guiding us to a great wine selection that didn’t break the bank and appropriate items to share (like the huge and delicious baked potato). Great steak dinner! Drink at bar beforehand was also fun and tasty.

We had a drink at the bar, but never did try the food. Everything is top notch, from the atmosphere, the service, and the drinks. The bartender was very friendly and really knows alcohol. I will definitely make a point to stop here again, if we're in the area.

During our visit to St. Paul we had 2 dinners at the Grill. Excellent food and drink choice with exceptional service. All food and drinks were correctly prepare in a reasonable time. Enjoyed both dinners and highly recommend this restaurant. 5-star quality!!

This is a Saint Paul institution. A good place for special occasions or for dining before catching a show at the Ordway. Located in the historic Saint Paul Hotel at beautiful Rice Park. Classy restaurant where the local rich and famous dine. Excellent food, professional but friendly service and upscale but relaxed atmosphere.

Trip Advisor web site seems a bit out of date. The St Paul Grill re-opened in early Oct. We went a few days later during restaurant week, so had their fixed prix dinner. It was up to their usual high standards. We normally like to come a bit late, about 10 pm or so and sit in their classy bar and have a light late night supper. But their new hours post-covid appear to preclude that with the kitchen closing at 9:30. The StP Grill may lose business. They usually has a lot of business after the performances at the Ordway and events at the Excel center.

The staff is friendly and efficient and make one's visit very enjoyable. At the daily breakfast there is a wide offering including very good fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. The Sunday Brunch is superb with broad choice at the buffet and Avery good station for fresh cooked omelets.

Sondra and Edward were the best! Both very accommodating and pleasant. Warm cheese plate great, crab cake amazing with mostly crab meat! Chicken pot pie delish, salmon salad well seasoned & nice presentation, wanted to try specials but very pricey. Brought amazing dark choc truffle for birthday boy, nice touch, thanks so much for great experience.

Service is fast and friendly. Tried the northwoods omelet (asparagus, mushrooms, gruyere) and it was great. The hashbrowns it came with were also wonderful. Would recommend.
