LOVE the food at Monkey Temple! I've driven down Snelling so many times debating *what* exactly a place called "Monkey Temple" actually was for months before looking it up, and boy, were we missing out! We haven't eaten inside the restaurant because we discovered it after the pandemic hit, but our delivery experiences have been great. Plenty of vegetarian options (our favorites are the tandoori platter and paneer tikka) - and the garlic naan...JUST GET IT. Hope to visit in-person at some point, but for now we're just glad to have another amazing regular takeout spot.

We eat here regularly - I recommend the wings and also chicken biryani if they have it on special. Such a special addition to our neighborhood!

I had no idea what to expect of this place because I didn't really understand the concept at first but wow I was surprised at how well the food is made! I assumed it would be an American bar pretending to make indian food, and while it's not the most authentic, the preparations of everything I've tried are actually super tasteful with attention to detail in the recipes. The sides and appetizers are delicious, definitely crave-worthy. They have some unique options like samosas covered in chutneys and crispy rice mix, fried okra, and the best wedge french fries I've had, as well as addictive sauces that go with everything. The hot sauce/chutney is actually really hot! The mango lassi is also very nice. I haven't had the entrees yet but all in all I recommend this spot for a wide variety of snacks and meals that you might not find many other places. They always prepare orders on time and have good online ordering.

Chicken Biriyani was super delicious. I would have given it a 5star, but the service was not good. I liked the dish so much that I wanted to try their dessert as well, but the waitress hand me the bill even without asking if I want anything else. That’s a sign of poor service! Anyhow, I had my dessert and it was okay.

We love this place, and we were regulars from opening until COVID... and then they were in our regular takeout rotation. New management in place and the service has deteriorated significantly... botched orders, forgetting to bring out curbside food. Sorry to see such a great place fall apart. I see that the manager who lied about bringing out the food to curbside remains unapologetic and blaming short staffing. The hot food was cold and the food that was supposed to be cool was warm.

We had take out here twice and can’t wait to go back! Chicken tandoori platter was great, naan was one of the best I ever had and the tikka sauce (that you can have a side) was phenomenal. I am so happy to have a tandoori place in the neighborhood:)

Got takeout and the food was pretty good! Just disappointed in the service as I had to ask for my mango lassi and they forgot to hand me my pizza.

Our first time in Monkey Temple as we wanted Indian. The food from appetizer to entree to Mango lassi was phenomenal! We ordered the wings which a nice little kick as we ordered mild. The chicken biyrani was out of this world with a flash fried soft boiled egg, tandoori chicken thigh & drumstick, and sauce on the side to cool the spice down. My suggestion is using a satchel for the spices as cinnamon bark & whole clove is not edible. The tandoori chicken was juicy and the warm spices paired well with the Indian chopped salad. The lentil soup was smooth, rich in flavor but light. We will definitely be back!

Have only done take away due to CoVid, but everything was delicious!

The staff was very attentive. I had the chicken tikka masala, and it was very good. I loved the sauce, and the chicken was tender. My friend and I had the mango coconut ice cream — I think it was? – and it was delicious. We ate on the ad hoc patio set up in the back where they had canopies for shade. There wasn’t much of a view there, but they did the best with what they had in order to be able to seat people outside during the pandemic. I’ll definitely visit them again.

We went to Monkey Temple for dinner tonight and were very impressed. I had the chicken Tikka Masala which was very flavorful, my husband had the tandoori chicken sandwich which was delicious and our kids split the fish and chips. The fries are so good! I would highly recommend it!

Friday fish and chips are great. This place is styled after a British curry house, so has a blend of English food and solid Indian options. Samosas also very tasty. Prices quite reasonable for portion sizes and quality.

We have ordered Monkey Temple a handful of times and it is so delicious every single time. The staff is always super nice and friendly. We crave this place often and will keep coming back for the wonderful Indian food.

We ordered take out from this restaurant, their mango lassi tasted weird and the food wasn't anything to write home about. I give points for creativity, but I feel like this is another case where fusion doesn't work.
