Their pho is very delicious. The broth is very good. I have tried several restaurants, and this one is the best so far! The server is also very friendly, and they serve the food very fast.

Wonderful service and amazing food. I had the Chicken Pho and it did not disappoint at all. Very inviting atmosphere and incredible prices, would 10/10 recommend.

Delicious pho - especially on this cold day in MN! Their Jalapeños are hot & just what my body needed!

The pho here was alright. Smells good but it does kind of lack some flavor. Service was good, the rustic theme is pretty cute. Could use a little more meat in the special pho. Love it when chili oil is sitting on the table.

The so called shrimp egg rolls was a undeveined shrimp wrapped in a over cooked wrap! I kindly asked the women to replace with something different and she denied! The Pad noodles were so gummy im MAH that i paid 18 bucks for this meal...smh...You will never get a referral to your business!! I hope you get treated the same way you treated me!

Nestled in the outskirts of Downtown St. Paul, Pho #1 is unassuming from the outside. But inside, hearty bowls of pho and friendly service await in this neighborhood joint. While they do serve other dishes, like pad thai and chow mein, how can you not try the pho at a place that's called Pho #1. The special pho (P1) was pretty tasty - the broth was the star, nicely sweet but could use a little more star anise to balance out the sweetness. It was full of flavor and deliciously hearty with a very strong beef taste, how it should taste. Would have loved a little more meatball and tripe in the mix vs. the flank in the dish, however. In comparison to other pho places, their portion size is a little smaller, so if you're a big eater, I wouldn't anticipate on this bowl being an XL bowl you might see elsewhere. For me, it was a perfect size as I can hardly ever finish the broth and noodles at other places. Service was speedy, and we got our bowls less than 10 minutes from walking in the door. Closer to noon though, the place started filling up, so YMMV. Our server was attentive, providing us with dipping bowls when I asked, for the hoisin and sriracha mix I like to make to dip my meats. If you work downtown and close to here, I'd give it a go! As the weather gets colder, you can't beat a great bowl of pho.

I wish I could sing Pho #1's praises from the rooftops of the Twin Cities. They are a small, Vietnamese, family-owned restaurant that consistently serves amazing, authentic, and affordable Vietnamese eats. With many people working from home, a lot of their clientele has now ceased to exist which has made it hard on the business. I wish everyone knew about them so that they would venture to little downtown Saint Paul for a bite. I always get the spring rolls, Tofu Bun, and the Pho! They use fresh ingredients and the flavors show it! I truly cannot imagine any meal better for a Fall or Winter day. My dad says that their pho broth is the best in all of Minnesota -- and he's tried a lot. PLEASE SUPPORT THIS SMALL, POC BUSINESS -- very underrated and deserves all of the love.

Terrible business. First of all, over priced food. I told my wife about it but she needed to try out all the pho joints in St. Paul. So we drive there through road construction on a weekday...Park a block away and pay for street parking... Only to arrive at their door to see a closed sign. ? I don't know if it's the restaurant or what, but Google told me they were open. Fake restaurant.... Been trying to take the wife there for years.... They seem to open and close whenever they feel like it. TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS! Advice... Just close permanently so you don't show up on my search menu! ?

They are super friendly and timely. I ordered the hot and spicy shrimp with white rice and spring rolls with their peanut sauce. Let me tell you that this is my new favorite place to grab lunch or dinner. I cannot wait to try the rest of their menu and I even have some leftovers for later that I cannot stop thinking about! I really only tried it because I read they opened this restaurant because of they love to cook and it definitely shows in their food quality. Try it soon!
