The service is quite slow, but the drinks and fire cooked pizza are pretty decent overall. I would recommend coming here if you got plenty of time and patience on your hands

NEW POST;I wish to add to the original post after the restaurant manager reached out after the review. It was nice to know that this is an establishment that wants to make right and rectify a situation in hopes of making it a positive experience. The service was very friendly and accommodating and worth a stop. My husband and I did very much enjoy some local beers at the bar and because of the time taken by the manager, we would stop back if ever in St. Paul again. Thanks Josh for being a caring and professional leader.ORIGINAL POST;My husband and I were staying at the hotel for an event in town. We came down to the bar around 3 to have drinks while we waited for the kitchen to open at 4. At 4, he ordered an appetizer of 6 piece dry rub chicken wings. I ordered a 6 piece of blackberry glazed wings. We were both extremely hungry as we hadn’t eaten since breakfast. I had one of mine and thought it was horribly dry. He had one of his and apparently thought the same because we each had two of our own, and couldn’t eat anymore despite our hunger. The bartender came to clear our plates and asked, “was everything amazing?” We said unfortunately it wasn’t, it was dry and we couldn’t eat anymore. He said , “I’m sorry”, took the baskets, and that was it. We were charged for both appetizers, still tipped well, and went somewhere else for good food. Very disappointing the lack of customer care. We were never mean or impolite. Hope they improve for the next visitor.

Staying at the Doubletree from out of town. Betty was my server and she was very kind.I got the apple walnut salad and it was great! Not a bad portion size either.Seemed like a good spot to pop-in and grab a drink from. They have TV’s with games on as well.Edit: I came in a 2nd time and Betty remembered me and greeted me with a huge smile! Made me feel very welcome. Sisay from the to-go stand was so friendly, we literally chatted for 20 mins haha. Thoroughly enjoyed that.I got the Apple Walnut salad again, with the tots (added Parmesan cheese) and it was a 10/10.The manager (I assume) dressed super fly and was extremely nice as well.I’m definitely a big fan of this place now.

We ordered door dash and I literally thought it was a joke as to how small and plain the pizza one of the pizzas was supposed to be pepperoni an it was only cheese. Literally the thickness of the pizza was maybe 1/4 inch thick from top to bottom with hardly any sauce or cheese ,The spinach artichoke dip tastes like cold mashed potatoes, the chips were straight salt. Not sure how they're in business

The entire experience from beginning to end was laughable. We had a “reservation” as we knew the hotel was booked up and expected a possible long wait. (It is the only food option in the Hilton hotel) The lady at the front desk was less than pleasant when we arrived. She shook her head no as if she never heard of a reservation before or honoring our reservation was not going to be possible. The place was packed….. out of necessity only I’m sure, as I had expected. We were finally seated after about 10-15minutes of them scrambling around. The Bar was clearly understaffed. We sat for 30 minutes and not a single visit from a server. No drink order, no food order, nothing. All we got to watch was a beer bottle being dropped and broken on another set of guests followed by a scene from the insanely unprofessional “manager”. We ended up leaving with nothing after wasting 45 minutes of our time. Not only is this place a joke but the Doubletree/ Hilton hotel it’s attached to is as well. You’re honestly better off ordering portillos from door dash and sitting outside on the curb to eat it. I will literally never visit either establishment ever again. Good luck to anyone who actually attempts either. The “amazing” Hilton review is next and is just a tad bit better than this one.

The Google search found pics of skee ball and ping pong so we came, ready to play! Those games no longer exist here! They only provide table games like Scrabble and connect four.

A solid, but not spectacular, spot for a pint and bar food. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu is somewhat restricted. The personal brick oven pizza was quite tasty, and even had some leftovers. It is attached to the Doubletree Hotel, where I was staying, and the weather kept me from venturing out, so it was an easy pick for dinner. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to return.

As a professional reviewer, it is my duty to provide an honest assessment of my dining experiences. Unfortunately, my recent encounter with the haystack burger left me underwhelmed and ultimately, sick would not recommend coming here.

Not very welcoming. Very few customers. Our drinks were not good and we left after one drink and went elsewhere.

TL;DR - Very poor (and rude) service by Joshua, the bartender, just because I asked for a drink...at the bar. I know, the math ain't mathin for me eitherAs guests of the adjoining hotel, we popped in for a nightcap around 10pm.Waited at the bar before approaching him (quite a while and he wasn't serving at the time). After walking up to where he was hunkered down I asked for a drink and was met with hostility and the most directly disrespectful and rude attitude I've experienced- it was sincerely surprising. Two other servers came up to me afterwards and asked if I needed anything after seeing I was visibly perturbed by this interaction- so thanks to those two!Everybody has bad days, I get that. But with such phrases as, "go sit down" and "what do you want?" from the bartender...I think you can find a better establishment to have a bartender take their bad day out on you (and hopefully you actually get served a yummy drink there)!
