We went for dinner with friends and loved the view, atmosphere, and had great service. The drinks for most of us were also excellent. However we all felt that the food and presentation was a three star. So take that into account if you are reading this.I know they are going for the diner/dinette vibe but the shrimp cakes in a cardboard box isn't ideal. The French fries also were good but look like something you would get next door at CHS Field.I had the duck pasta with ricotta cheese and it was a major letdown for me. I should have ordered the burrito. However the menu isn't that large so your options are limited. The pork belly was tasty but had way too much spicy sauce all over it.Will I go back? Honestly it is unlikely. I hope they can improve the food and expand the menu because the location is beautiful and historic. And our server was prompt and took great care of us.

Food didn't have a lot of flavor. Cheese overpowered the under seasoned burger. Thank god the fries were salty. Fromage was underwhelming.

Be prepared for short, unusual menu. Sorry, but most likely will not return to Saint Dinette.

I've been a fan of their burger for a long time. It's hard to say there's a better burger in town, or anywhere I've ever been for that matter. You don't even think about other toppings when you take a bite - because it is perfect on its own. The juicy lucys, special sauces, and piles of extras from other places are just gimmicks. But, there is more here than a burger. Bologna that's amazing, seasonal bites that are fresh and tasty, the best damn beignets, and a caramel sauce I'd like to put in everything. The Canadian cold press is the perfect brunch drink. Now if only they'd put the hotcakes back on the menu.

It doesn't get much better than Saint Dinette in the lowertown area of St. Paul. When it comes to ambiance, service, and fare - this spot checks all the boxes. I will be the first to admit that I need to try more of the menu. I generally end up with the Cheeseburger every time I go and for good reason. Simply put, it's one of the best cheeseburgers you will ever have. Whether you are looking for a romantic, intimate date night, Sunday brunch, or belly up at the bar and look into the exposed kitchen while you enjoy a drink and app - St. Dinette is a must visit.

We went for the famed burger. So simple yet so delicious. Lovely birthday experience with great service.

Fantastic boutique brunch place. Service is 5 stars, food is limited and specialized, and atmosphere is inviting. It's a nice stop before or after the farmers market.

We've been coming to Saint Dinette pretty much since moving to St. Paul and it's always been consistently delicious. The food feels upscale but not in a way that makes me uncomfortable to walk in wearing "normal" casual clothes. My husband gets the burger and fries almost every time we go, it's one of his top 3 burgers in the Cities. The fries are perfectly crisp, the right amount of meatiness (that's a weird descriptor but accurate haha), and the aioli is amazing. I got the eggs Benedict with ham on the side; the English muffin was a bit thicker than I'm used to, & I think the ham would have added the saltiness that the dish was lacking, so that's definitely a "me" issue. That being said, the hollandaise was perfectly tangy and creamy, the eggs were exactly what you want on an eggs Benedict. I appreciate that the hashbrowns come in more of a patty, so all sides are crispy and delicious with a soft center. The only cons: -pricing is a bit on the high end; it's $17 for just the burger (which, granted, is a double patty with a sharp cheddar) -parking can be a pain if you come on a day that the farmers market is going on -I'm not sure how accessible the restaurant is; there are steps leading to the door. I would assume there's an accessible entrance somewhere, but it could be tricky for someone who is alone & can't navigate the steps
