I walked in and no one greeted me and it was dark and silent. I went over to the self serve single slice cake area and grabbed a slice. A lady comes out of the back and screams at me " WHAT ARE YOU DOING, DON'T TOUCH THOSE" and it really shocked me and made me feel bad. She saw I was just grabbing the cake slices and apologized as she thought I was grabbing someone's cupcake orders which were in open containers with no lids or covers. I got two slices and a danish and went to check out. She couldn't figure out how to use my gift card (which I got as compensation from a previously botched cake order) so I paid with my card instead, whatever. Just started eating my danish about 30 minutes after I bought it and it tastes frozen or par-baked. It's not fluffy and flakey like they used to be. It also looks smaller than before? Honestly the more I look at it, it looks like a gas station bakery item. I really want to support them, but I felt really shaken up after the lady screamed at me and then the danish was a disappointment.

I do not know why people who work on these shops think it's okay to not wear a glove or use some tongs to grab your donuts. I bought a big donut and it was handled without gloves.I did not say anything to not create a hostile experience, but I think they saw my facial reaction and put gloves on for the next donut grab.Yoyo donuts uses metal tongs to grab donuts. This place should too. The big donut I got for my daughter I am not going to give it to her.I hate to say it, but I grew up in a small town where people got treated differently, the locally bakery would just grab donuts like this and this was a huge reminder of that experience. No matter how great of a reputation I will not be back.

I ordered a custom cake and when I got there the name was spelled wrong and when I told them that the only response is we don’t do the cakes with no accountability and pretty much messed up my daughters 18th

This place is not the place we grew up with in Saint Paul. New owners = bad food and bad service. Bummer this place used to be the best.

The raised donut was heavy, very dense and rather stale. This was a pity donut I bought after I walked in to see that things have gone way, way downhill here and I didn't want to just turn and walk out--but I should have. I took two bites of the donut and couldn't force myself to take a third bite. The shop was dirty, dark and dinghy, not inspiring any kind of confidence. It was a sad shell of its former self.

Found out they are new owners and apparently did not get the original Lady Baltimore cake recipe or the famous Buttercream Frosting recipe. The last cake we had was absolutely disgusting. Was brought back for a refund. Literally tasted like FLOUR. Its a shame that this will not be my entire family's number one bakery any longer.

Review is only on service on the evening of 2/5/24. The girl working was beyond rude and unprofessional. She lacked knowledge of the products in the bakery. She was also unable to complete an order for a cake we wanted to pick up in a couple weeks. Fortunately, Cafe Latte is down the road.

This was my second time having a bad experience with this particular location, and I will not be going back. The hours on their business page are incorrect, apparently they close at 6pm Mon-Sat, and 2pm on Sundays. I placed an order Friday for pick up on Sunday during a 2pm-6pm window. Sunday comes by, we go to pick up the cake...and the shop is closed. We call non-stop, no one answers. Assuming they're on lunch, we wait around...nothing. Call the line, we get transferred to the Edina location that tells us the Grand location closes at 2pm Sundays even though their door says 4pm. Says this happens all the time at this location. Drive all the way to Edina where they give us a cake and apologize. Monday comes around, I call to ask for a refund. Person I'm speaking to insists they called me numerous times throughout the weekend when I never received a single phone call/voicemail. Inquire about the hours, all I get is "We've let them(?) know, they just don't get it I guess." Since then, their hours show that they now close at 5pm instead of 4pm...Even though it's still 6pm on their door(went to claim my refund today).Fix. Your. Hours.

Service use to be friendly and bakery treats use to be super delicious and know it's no better than holidays bakery items. Not sure. What happened you use to use the best ingredients available and know it's like you went down the drain and over charge for the products. You can tell it's not the original Wuollet's running the bakery if it's even owned by the family any more Because Jim Wuollet, would never allow the Baker to slack like this.Parking: Good luck on finding a place to park

I called to order cupcakes for my son’s birthday. I asked if they could make the top of the cupcake, look like a basketball, not have a plastic topper, I was told yes of course. I was charged $162 for three dozen cupcakes. When I arrived to pick them up the morning of the party, they had plastic basketball rings on top of a white cupcake. This was exactly what I didn’t order. When I got home, I called and spoke to someone immediately I was told they would be willing to give me a 50% refund. I also submitted a form online, asking someone to call me. I received a reply to my emails asking for more info. I provided the info requested. It has been nearly 2 weeks, and I have not gotten a refund I was promised. I would SKIP using Wouletts. This is not an individual small bakery. It’s a big bakery operation with no personalization. No one to call and no one to help problem solve. I could have went to Cub or Target if I wanted a white cupcake with a plastic cheap ring on top.

I grew up coming here . My grandma always got her holiday cakes and coffee cakes here. And special birthdays. My children love it too. The attention to detail is incredible. You will pay for it though. A lil spendy. Well worth it though!!

While out on a morning walk with my nanny kiddo, we quite literally stumbled upon this gem! The sweetest employee helped us with our choices and shared some of her own favorites. We tried the chocolate croissant and it was delicious. Very fresh and the perfect sweet treat. Definitely will be back!

Dry and old treats. There are a few of these bakeries around and I've tried them with consistent results. Not good. Should have been sold as day old at best. I think due to fake butter / shortening. Sadly on par with Cub baked goods.
