The food is great. I came here tonight because we had a coupon in the mail. I had a To Go order. When I wanted to pay, they told me the coupon is only for dine-in. The coupon didn't mention that. Should have been more specific.

A solid 4.5. I plan to come back and try another dish and if the food is this good or better I might have to give them 5 stars. Food presentation was exceptional. Not crazy about the flavor nof the beef in my burrito, but everything else was very tasty and every dish I saw looked fantastic. Large servings. Clean facilities with some nice window seating. Hope to come back and check out the patio in a month or two.Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian fajita plate that was fantastic l.

Gluten friendly menu options. However, please be very weary & ensure your server & the BOH understands your dietary needs & what it is you can & cannot have e.g. wheat, barley, malt, rye etc.$32.99 pulpo a las brasas • Spanish octopus slowly grilled in herb infused signature sauce paired with potatoes ? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Cute little hole in the wall! The ambiance is so cute, overlooking water.Service is spectacular, Miriam & her fellow servers are so attentive & kind.Really does feel like a family meal.On to the octopus, how adorbs is this presentation jaja! The plate comes out sizzling hot, literally, & the quality of the octopus is superb. It was fresh & cooked very well. Not chewy at all.I wish there was a little more flavor to the herb sauce, but, nothing a little Valentina couldn’t fix ?️$15 margarita flight ?I believe there was a strawberry one, limón, mango & mixed berry. My favorite was the mango & límon. So cute & so refreshing! I wish there were baby ice chips in them though, they got warm quick. Will certainly come back again!

Food was amazing, service was pretty good. They have an excellent outdoor seating area.Only drawback is how loud the trains are when they pass.I like this place, nothing fancy, the booths are rock hard and uneven. The restaurant is pretty clean, service is good. Absolutely delicious! This place does not disappoint! Must try! My favorite Mexican place!
Service was good. Everything else was pretty bad and I'm mad I ordered a lot thinking it would be good so I could have leftovers (rip 100$, my fault, tricked by these reviews) Molcajete mix and Cajun dishes are what we had. So the octopus and squid is either cooked way too far in advance and microwaved or they don't know how to cook it properly. It was the consistency of a rubber tire. (I've had squid/octopus elsewhere and it is usually better than this) The sauces used for both dishes tasted off/ not very good. If I were to compare, I'd say the sauce for the Cajun mix tasted like a watered down buffalo sauce. The rice was flavorful but there were grains that were rock hard mixed in there so... The tortillas were 100% microwaved which I thought was pretty low effort for a restaurant (grew up eating tortillas with most of my meals, pretty obvious when it's handmade, store-bought heated up on the stove, or store-bought microwaved). The ambiance was pretty bad too. The side tables are really cheap. They have two TVs positioned on opposite sides in the restaurant which play the same thing. Problem is they are like a second off sync so the audio was really distracting and annoying which is not a big deal but in combination with everything else makes this place look pretty lazy/ bare minimum effort.

I liked the atmosphere, kinda like a sports bar vibe, plenty of room for large parties and plenty of parking. But, if there is anything to bring up, the booth benches sit too low. I felt like I was a kid where the tabletop came up to my upper chest. The service was above average and the young lady was very attentive to our needs. The food;Another restaurant that charges for salsa and chips(my pet peeve because providing them makes the customers feel more full when leaving the restaurant, thereby leaving a positive attitude about the dining experience, my opinion). So, we did not order them.Food came out pretty quickly, but food was not evenly hot. Rice was hot but my meat and beans were not.I ordered the carne asada and my daughter ordered the chimi. My carne lack any flavor and there was no sauce to provide a way to season it. There were 4 tortilla wraps but they were small and that left a lot of fixings on the plateMy daughters chimi was very good(she said) but she wished she had known that it had beans in it, the other places we've been to did not have them. Just a small issue.Overall, I would give them a 6(out of 10) this time, but we will come back to try them again because ALL restaurants deserve at least two chances because ALL restaurants have "those" nights. Don't judge based on one experience.Give "Las Islas" a chance to earn your second or third visit. AND, don't be afraid to try something new, outside your comfort zone. You just might be surprised. This is just our opinion, so please don't penalize them for that, try for yourself.
