My favorite place to be on a summer evening in MN. Located on the St. Croix river in Stillwater close to the old lift bridge. Come early and enjoy a stroll along the river and relax in Pappies open air bar and resaurant. The food is good. The restaurants looks over the river and the boat docks. Service is sometimes frantic due to the large cowds. The music sets a tone that just takes you away. The patrons are loyal and love Pappies.

It needs interior updating and expansion of the dance floor. Possibly adding garage doors to the deck to open things up. Bathrooms haven't changed in the 30 years .

Fun place, but the smoking on the back deck is disgusting. Very unappetizing. Update, had to lower to 1 star after seeing staff had a whole ashtray cleaning operation spread out on the board under heat lamps where food comes out of kitchen. Dirty rags and paper towels everywhere. Then they went into the dishwasher.

I rated the service a five because this place is super busy and the wait staff makes every effort to get to you as soon as possible. The bands we've seen have been excellent.

Very affordable drinks. Burger and salad were really good! Staff was pleasant. It can seem a little crowded when the band starts playing, but a VERY FUN VIBE!!

Stopped by today for a drink, for the first time in years. My beer had slime down the side of the can which was almost like gum. It was a bit gross. Used the bathroom which smelt badly and had broken doors. It looked unkept and unclean. Not sure what happened to the place I remember from years ago.

We went to watch Fire Water Gospel and I love PD Pappys so it was a no-Brainerd. The weather was perfect, the river was beautiful and everyone was enjoying their time. I would highly recommend going to check this place out if you haven't. It's a blast and it's biker friendly!
Brought an out of town guest to Stillwater/ P D Pappys . What an experience. Great music, didn't have a long wait to order drinks, the crowd was friendly and all appeared to be having a great time. Perfect pick for a trueMN experience.

Feels like a Florida shoreline restaurant! Nick the bartender is super pleasant. Ordered the California burger with American cheese and Cajun fries. The burger is grilled and is wonderful. Rail drinks are nice too. Definitely a recommendation!

We had super tasty burgers on the deck with a nice view overlooking the marina. Thin style burgers with good char and nice beefy flavor. Crisp fries and creamy cole slaw. Busy, but the servers did a good job keeping things moving. They charge 4% for credit card payment, we paid cash and our server still charged us the card fee. Mr
