One of my favorite bars in Walker. Evertime we get up to walker we go here because the staff, food and prices. It's not uncommon for prices to get overinflated in tourist traps like Walker, but this place hasn't done that and I appreciate that. It's simple bar food that's really good and affordable.

My girlfriend and I went there recently for cocktails, and to potentially try some of their menu items, as we have heard great things. It is a fine place and kudos are indeed due to the owner for establishing what we are sure is normally a great place. We have been to this establishment, right under the pelican, many times over the past two decades and have seen it in multiple iterations. Unfortunately, our experience was not suggestive of its reputation. At one point, while there were only 4 people sitting at the bar in the middle of the afternoon, including us, the owner ignored our conspicuously empty glasses for over 15 minutes, while maintaining his conversation with his friends at the bar who were right beside us. He did not instruct his bartender to address our parched status either. And no, we were not inebriated! Fortunately, we were eventually "rescued" by the bartender. We are both in our 50s, reputable professionals, and cannot recall the last time we were treated with such disrespect, or even contempt. I would strongly encourage the owner to do better and be more considerate to his patrons.

Went there 2 nights in a row. First night had a good experience. The second night, the bar was much busier. We ordered and when we received our food, the sides were less than half of our previous night's experience. Sadly, we paid extra for fries and onion rings for our sides as chips are the regular. My son received 5 thin onion rings and I received less than half the amount of fries from last night's visit. $3 up charge for onion rings, $2 upcharge for fries.

Only reason I gave 3 stars for atmosphere, is because I'm not a bar person. Food was delicious and reasonable. The waitress was the only one working the floor and she was very good. I'd definitely eat there again. I had the Philly steak and cheese.

It was my first time there, and was very impressed with how clean and inviting it was! There was only one server, but she was on point at every step! Burgers were great! But the onion rings were absolutely delicious!! I will be back!!
