SUPER DELICIOUS! The service here is so amazing, they are so kind! The atmosphere is super detailed! The art really brings out the restaurants culture. As you can see I ATE the food up! I definitely recommend coming here again, sort of expensive but super worth it! 10/10 MUST try again!

Wow! It's cute (eclectic), nothing fancy on the inside, but make no mistake, the food is absolutely amazing! Delicious tacos. Great service. Kiko was great. So much of the food is made from scratch using family recipes. This has to be some of the best Tinga I've ever had. I tried the authentic Barbacoa tacos (it's Beef Cheek)...AMAZING! We ordered 6 different tacos all on corn tortillas with cilantro and onion (they also offer flour tortillas). Their homemade sauce is spot on - a hint of spice and a nice flavor. I also tried a Tinga Syncronizada - highly recommend!! So cheesy and delicious. I missed out on trying a tamale because they were sold out, so that's probably a good sign. We will most definitely be going back.

This is not the fanciest taco joint, but it is THE place for the best carnitas ever. I've had several different tacos, but the carnitas at El Taquito hit me different-they are incredible! Ignore the aesthetics. The older gentleman that works the drive-thru is a treasure. These tacos are worth double what they charge, and I'm not even sorry for saying this in print. The tortillas are so fragrant and fresh, the hot sauce nice and hot, fresh onions and cilantro. When we grab food through the drive through, it's still piping hot by the time we reach our office in SSP. If I ever found myself looking for late night grub (doubtful at my advanced age) this is the place I'd go. I've referred a couple people who were hesitant to try only because the building is a little run down. Be not afraid, taco fans, this joint is the real deal.

Every time I come here the food is great, the staff is very welcoming. This was the first time I had authentic Mexican in Minnesota and it's always my go to. Carnitas is great, carne asada burritos are great. The environment is very home-y.

Delicious food, friendly welcoming staff, nice mellow atmosphere, and good pricing. There sometimes is a DJ for music/dancing, or TV for entertainment. The menu can seem a bit confusing if you're new to the place and only skim read, but don't hesitate to ask questions. Like if you're ordering an entree, don't assume it comes with sides if it doesn't mention platter with side options. Great place for good Mexican food. They also have a drive-thru!

The thinnest tamales you will ever find in town! The old men that took my order on the drive thru had the worst attitude!Paid $15 for 2 tiny tamales that had no meat! 0/5 would not recommend!

The food was amazing and the tacos were freshly cooked. The service was kinda slow but the tacos were worth the wait.

stopped by recently, did the drive-thru, decided on a burrito from the signboard, ordered thru the drive up window, after waiting 7 minutes or so when a worker appeared for me to pay he said "$15"!!!!! i replied that the signboard listed the price as $10 to which he replied that they couldn't fit the $15 price on that signboard! what???? to which i drove off. never again!!!

Before I start, I was raised in Rockport, TX and crossing the border was a regular thing. I've also crossed the border as an adult in Nuevo Laredo. I've taken road trips the the 4 points of the United States and eaten at every pit stop. Never have I ever had to ask for salt to season Mexican food. Usually tostadas have cotija which I prefer if this is the Mexican mozzarella it had no cheese smell or taste to it. The chicken tasted like it was boiled with water and a teaspoon of American chili powder... and that's it. I also had the charbroiled steak tostada and that's when I realized there was actually refried beans but because it had no taste and had an airy texture I didn't notice it was there. The rojo sauce that is served on the table wasn't even a deep red and tasted like Tabasco. Not sure about lettuce either but it's also we had to ask for lime and I would love radishes. Reviews said authentic but I'll let you go and decide for yourself. Service is order at counter and you find your own seat and it came out at a reasonable time. Good thing is they had onions and cilantro available if you asked. I actually wanted to ask for a whole spice rack though. But to also expect me to bite through a while sliced tomatoe on a messy tostada already. No.

Dear restaurant please find me on Facebook I'd love to help you deep clean your restaurant as it is immediately noticed when guests come inside or through the drive through. Invest in a new drive through menu and speaker.
