I feel conflicted about this coffee shop. I want to support local coffee shops, but the prices are high and I have never had friendly service there. Never ever. It is some the least friendly service I have experienced at any coffee shop (including both small, independent shops and large chain coffee shops). The college-age gals working at the front counter just don't seem to care much about the customers. It's kind of a laid-back attitude towards customer service rather than trying to show hospitality and make people feel welcome in your space.

Great ambiance and good drinks! Great natural sunlight. Always have good gluten free scones as well.

I'm a big fan of the vibe here. It's a cute shop and the baristas are always nice. The coffee is both reasonably price and tasty. Always a treat to walk here on a Saturday morning and enjoy a drink.

State fair location: I visited the state fair yesterday, on the first day, and ordered coffee around 7:30-8am. The Nitro Cold Brew had absolutely no flavor, the coffee had to have been steeped without enough grounds? It also came with with ice (I even though I did not order it that way and was not asked if I had a preference).I regret not taking a picture - it barely had any color, either.

The cafe was nice the coffee was even good, but I almost couldn't order it. The cashier just ignored us and over all the service sucked. Won't be going back.
This is a really nice coffee shop. There are several large tables and a side room with smaller tables. When I was there it seemed that there were a lot of groups of twos and threes. It certainly had a lively vibe so if you’re looking for a quieter place it might not be the best choice, but I really appreciated the atmosphere. The espresso drinks are high quality and well crafted. I enjoyed the white bear mocha.

I've enjoyed coming to Anchor for years. The atmosphere, coffee, and many of the staff members are absolutely fabulous. HOWEVER, there are several employees who insist on providing beverages in to-go cups within 3 hours of close so they don't have to do the dishes. I can understand if it is an hour to closing, but anything beyond that is unnecessarily environmentally harmful and also kills the vibes. :)

Local Cafe that encapsulates the warm and cozy feeling a small town can bring. Decor is eclectic with the charm of vintage treasures that have found a second life giving customers a place to relax or work.

Online menu outdated, no cookie selection as listed online, two scones in display case. Staff friendly, atmosphere okay, music a bit loud for good conversation, but we were able to turn it down.
