“Love this place for grabbing a drink and having that small town feel, also very cheap!The only thing that I’ve noticed is that sometimes it feels like the regulars are prioritized.. when I’m standing in line for a drink just to grab two more canned beers.. but it takes almost 10 minutes cause the bartender is chit chatting with everybody at the bar, it felt odd.. but nonetheless, we come here regularly.“

“Great place, good food, weird vibe! The waitress or cook was off. We ordered an appetizer. Our friends ordered a different appetizer after us. Their appetizer arrived. We asked about ours. She told us it will be coming. Our food arrived and we asked again about the appetizer. She seemed confused. The appetizer never arrived and when she brought the bill she said something about never getting the appetizer. The whole exchange was weird. They should also take salads off the menu. That was not available when we were there either.“

“The food was amazing! I got the parm chicken sandwich and added the Italian Fries. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the marinara was fabulous. I ate it open faced, trying to cut down carbs and it was still amazing. I shared the fries with the husband and we both liked that they were seasoned well and thick cut.We will definitely return!“

“Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with my sister. She's not a huge burger person and she's been telling me how much she loves their burger here. I knew I had to try it. We started with spicy Bloody Mary.... Meal of champions. It was excellent. I ordered the cheeseburger and let me tell you, my sister wasn't kidding.... It was juicy, hot, and delicious. Fries were nice and hot. Next time, I'll ask for extra pickles. Small little dive bar. Lots of locals. Staff were very nice and friendly. You order your food at the window and it comes out quickly. There's a liquor store attached to the bar... that's pretty neat. I also stopped in here before a wedding in February for a few drinks before heading to the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center. Another good experience. If you're in the area or if you're in the mood for bar food, I highly suggest giving it a try. Prices are great too! WIN WIN in my book.“

“A group of 30 of us came in for brunch on Saint Patrick's Day (we did have reservations), and even though they were ridiculously busy, we found easy parking and were greeted with friendly smiles from the energetic staff. They patiently took our orders and didn't even flinch when we needed them separated. Every staff member was great! Our food came out promptly and tasted delicious, and we all left happy with full bellies, ready for the day. It's rare to find such genuine, good places nowadays, but this one of them for sure!“

“It's a very open bar and they have some TV's to watch sports. They had a band playing the night I was there and it's nice that they have bands. There is room to dance if a band is playing. The food was good, comparable to most bar food. It's wheelchair accessible. They had a cover charge when the band played. Definitely a fun place!“

“Under 2 years old and got it right already. Billy switches up the menu with suggestions from the patrons or with new ideas. A month ago I asked him about desserts and if he planned on getting any on the menu, yesterday the menu was updated and with new items along with 3 dessert options. Besides the fact that he's got a arsenal of new and old drinks memorized he's got you covered even if you don't know what you want,all you have to do is tell him the mood your in something fruity or strong drink/shot it doesn't matter.Kid-friendliness: Not a lot of swearing and plenty of t.vs playing all the games of the day. “Their specials are amazingly low priced (as is their regular menu). Love their Coney Dogs (on special 3 days a week for $8.50 for 2 dogs and fries) and the M-F burger basket for $8. This place is a classic bar, the oldest continuously operating bar in Minnesota I believe. Decor is classic, has a tin ceiling, classic beer signs and the like. It can get really busy at times, super crowded l, as a random Saturday where I went in for Coney Dogs- the place was overflowing with bikers standing all over the place. It can also get really loud- I felt like I probably got hearing damage from the raucous noice levels of the bikers. The place is great overall. Staff is friendly, decent selection of beers mostly focused on people pleasing domestics and some craft beers (they are in the Pub Pass too). Check it out for some tasty bar food, just be aware you may have to change your mind and walk across the street to Mac's if the place is elbow to elbow busy.“

“The food is good. The portions are for hungry people. Servers are pleasant, but sometimes too busy. The ambiance is a bit busy and therefore noisy, but we'll always go back again. We've only been there for breakfast.Mama Bear Omelette and Papa Bear Omelet are my favorites. Mark C.“

“Have the bull bite appetizer it was amazing. I had the Prime rib med rare. It was Perfectly cooked. The green beans were yummy. My husband had the 5 piece fish fry. He said it was very good. It was busy. We made reservations. Celebrated a friend's birthday thier chocolate cake came with sparklers and a cow bell. Fun and delicious. So good!“

“Ordered fish and chips for takeout. The order was ready promptly but pickup was a bit chaotic as it was Friday night during happy hour and all the servers and bar personnel were really busy, The portions were very generous for both the fish and the chips and the fish was flavorful and not overly battered. My main complaint was that the takeout containers were plastic and thus the food couldn't be rewarmed in the oven. Microwave makes the chips soggy which these were by the time I got them home. Styrofoam is equally bad for the environment but at least it could have been put in the oven to reheat. Price was fairly reasonable for the size of the portions.“
