This is a Somali restaurant that focuses on serving the local Somali population... and some of us who are able to get past the challenges of doing business with them. They offer a number of Somali dishes from a picture menu with names, prices (low), and pictures. We walked in and saw a bunch of Somali watching soccer... recordings of international games on YouTube. It was clearly a local hangout. We walked over to the guy at the cash register and asked questions. He didn't seem to speak English and had very little to say that helped us understand what was in the various dishes. It was frustrating, as we were hoping to more meaningfully engage.I ended up ordering the Chicken Curry, because I could identify the name. It didn't resemble any curry I've had before, though it had a tomato flavor with onions and peppers along with the 3 chicken drumsticks. It was okay, but not interesting at all. It came with some cut lettuce and two fried breads.

Is there a reason I was not helped/sat down or am I missing something? I really wanted to try the food.

Fantastic meal- curry chicken drummies and goat shank were pretty darn tasty. Be sure to get tea after, it was a great dessert.

I really really enjoyed this place. They have what I believe to be the best sambusas I have ever eaten. Granted my sample size is only about seven or eight different types of sambusa but these guys were amazing. So much meat so much delicious flavor. The meals we ordered were also very very good. I would highly recommend this. Curiously enough they did not allow me to tip.

Went with my mother and daughter. Order number 1 and 2 (don’t know names) and chicken sandwich(don’t know number). Portions were good and taste was even better. Staff was friendly, and the place was clean (but definitely dated). I would highly recommend you check it out you will not be disappointed.

Good Somali food in the middle of MN. Seemed authentic, many Somalis were eating there. I didn't know what anything was and the guy taking orders was not helpful so I randomly chose 3 dishes for my family, all were very tasty.

I just visited with a friend and had the chicken curry. It was great! The folks making the food and serving were welcoming and helpful selecting food that we were unfamiliar with. I will definitely be back next time I’m through Willmar.

Spectacular! Delicious! Incredible! I absolutely loved the curry chicken! So much flavor in everything and there was so much food in a single portion! I could have shared this meal with my wife and we would both have more than enough! I am very excited to come back and try something new!

The Key Key was phenomenal and the service was very good. Highly recommend going for the food, it was my first time having Somali food and I would go back.
